Reality TV star, Taylor Frankie Paul, has been hogging the limelight for quite some time, but all for the wrong reasons. For those unaware, she is currently in the midst of an ongoing domestic violence incident involving her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Johnson. Well, the news of this came right ahead of her season of The Bachelorette. While the show's premiere was scheduled for March 22, 2026, ABC has officially cancelled Season 22 of The Bachelorette due to the gravity of the situation. However, this decision has left some of Taylor's suitors on the show perplexed, with reports claiming they might now be suing ABC.
As tension continues to rise with extensive media coverage of Taylor Frankie Paul's domestic violence controversy, the dating series, The Bachelorette Season 22, where she was all set to appear, seems to have been caught in the crossfire. According to recent reports, Taylor Frankie Paul's suitors on The Bachelorette might be taking legal action after ABC decided to cancel the season.

Reportedly, sources told TMZ on Saturday, March 21, 2026, that five contestants are considering filing a lawsuit against ABC and Warner Bros. Discovery. Without naming the five contestants in question, the insiders revealed that they felt Warner Bros. Discovery, which produced The Bachelorette Season 22, built an unsafe working environment by allowing Taylor to be in intimate settings with them, considering her past history of domestic violence.

During an episode of the 2 Angry Men podcast hosted by Harvey Levin and Mark Geragos, the duo explained how some of the men who were supposed to appear on The Bachelorette put their regular lives on hold. Some even quit their jobs and lost financial opportunities just to get exposure on television while competing for Taylor Frankie Paul's heart. Well, we think this might be another reason the five contestants are considering suing ABC and Warner Bros. Discovery.

While ABC is at the risk of being sued by the contestants of The Bachelorette Season 22, that's not its only problem at present. According to insider reports, the show's cancellation is set to cost them a pretty penny. For the unversed, ABC decided to cancel the season after a video surfaced of Taylor Frankie Paul throwing chairs at her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen, during a domestic violence incident. Noting how the network could now lose millions from this decision, a source shared, “It could be USD 50 million [or more]. Someone's gotta get fired from this. It's ridiculous.”

A second insider claimed that ABC had to know about Taylor's past and questioned whether the network had not done a background check on her. They said, “It's a disaster. It's going to cost them millions! It's gotta be, with production, USD 10 to USD 15 million, maybe more.” Reportedly, the show had even negotiated freebies for their clients, such as hotels, which were all supposed to be featured on this season of The Bachelorette. Well, now that the season has already been cancelled, an insider told Page Six that it will instead be replaced by reruns of American Idol.
