Taylor Swift sets a release date for her new album

Taylor Swift recently made her podcast debut on her boyfriend, Travis Kelce and his brother, Jason's New Heights. During her conversation, she announced her new album, The Life of a Showgirl dramatically and simultaneously released the news on her social media during the premiere of the podcast. Moreover, Taylor Swift's official website was updated, and it finally revealed that The Life of a Showgirl will be released on October 3, 2025. In addition, they shared an impressive album cover, full tracklist, and a new collaboration.

The website is now offering multiple album variants, including a glitter orange vinyl titled The Life of a Showgirl: Sweat and Vanilla Perfume, as well as deluxe CD and cassette editions. The new products have been rolled out after days of fan speculation, after fans spotted a mysterious countdown clock on her site. When the clock turned zero, it released an image of a door from the Eras Tour, alongside four locked, colour-coded boxes that many believe hint at collectable vinyl editions. The cover art features Taylor in dazzling, embellished outfits in golden, orange and mint green colours.

Taylor Swift announces new collaboration with Sabrina Carpenter 

When Taylor Swift shared the cover art for her new album on social media, she confirmed that Max Martin, Shellback and herself will produce The Life Of A Showgirl. At the same time, a tracklist of 12 songs has been announced, including The Fate of Ophelia, Elizabeth Taylor, Opalite, Father Figure, Eldest Daughter, Ruin the Friendship, Actually Romantic, Wish List, Wood, Cancelled!, Honey and The Life of a Showgirl featuring Sabrina Carpenter. Interestingly, Taylor, who has collaborated with Sabrina for the first time, performed with her in multiple legs Eras Tour, like Mexico City, Rio de Janeiro, and Singapore.

Will Taylor Swift's new album have 12 or more songs?

As per the official album announcement, The Life of a Showgirl will have 12 tracks, and their names have been released. As per speculation, it is a nod to the album being her 12th studio album. However, when Taylor's last released album, The Tortured Poets Department, dropped in April 2024, two hours after the debut, the singer expanded it into a double album titled The Anthology. So, some fans are speculating there could be more songs. But nothing is confirmed yet.
