Bengaluru techie, Atul Subhash's demise has left the entire nation shocked about men's safety. Following the same incident, several cases came to light where the men had to take this drastic step by being pushed to a limit. Another similar incident recently took place with Agra's Manav Sharma, who was an employee of TCS. The techie had to take the drastic step of committing suicide due to his strained relationship with his wife, Nikita Sharma. Recently, Manav's sister, Akanksha revealed the real reason behind her brother's suicide, and she also shared that it was not due to Nikita's extra-marital affairs.
Akanksha Sharma recently sat for an interview with India Today, wherein she was asked about her brother's decision to commit suicide. She shared that Manav and Nikita decided to opt for divorce on mutual terms after the techie found out about his wife's extra-marital affairs. Akanksha added that her brother didn't die due to Nikita's affairs, but he was kept under pressure, saying that divorce won't be easy as all the laws are out there for women. Akanksha can be quoted as saying:
"Manav and Nikita were about to file for divorce mutually after he discovered details of her affairs in January 2025. However, he was made to believe that divorce won’t be easy. He didn’t die due to Nikita’s affairs, but he was made to realise divorce is not easy. All laws are in favour of women."
In the same interview, Akanksha Sharma revealed that her brother, Manav Sharma got to know that his wife, Nikita, and her two sisters trap married men and ruin their lives. Akanksha said that following this revelation, Manav already tried committing suicide in January 2025. However, later, the techie's parents saved him, and later, the couple was convinced to sort out the matter cordially, and only after the same, they decided that they would file for divorce on a mutual term. Akanksha stated that when Manav was proceeding with the legal process, he was kept under the pressure that the divorce wouldn't be easy and he and his parents would regret it. Akanksha said:
"However, when my brother tried to separate from Niketa, he was threatened and told that the legal system is in favour of women. If he proceeded with the divorce, he and our parents would regret it."
Going further in the same interview, Akanksha Sharma shared that Manav returned to Agra from Mumbai on February 23, 2025, wherein he and Nikita had to meet the lawyer. Well, Manav was taken to Nikita's parents' house. Akanksha shared that when Manav returned, he said that Nitika constantly told him that the divorce would be a struggle for him and he was repeatedly warned about the same. On the allegations of her brother, Manav would beat his wife, Nikita, Akanksha said that her brother could never do that as he was an artist, and an artist can never hurt anyone. Akanksha can be quoted as saying:
"Manav was sensitive, an artist who loved painting and playing the guitar. He could never hurt anyone. How can someone who chose to end his own life be accused of hurting others? My brother treated Niketa as an equal partner."
What do you think about Akanksha Sharma's revelation about her brother's suicide?
