'Ted Lasso' Season 4 Release Window Confirmed, Here's When To Expect Jason Sudeikis' Return

The series has built a big fan base due to the characters, specifically with Jason Sudeikis’ role as a football coach, receiving a positive response from everyone. The second and third seasons of the sports comedy-drama were released in 2021 and 2023. The wait for the fourth season was a little bit long as Apple TV+ took two years to confirm the new installment in 2025. Ted Lasso Season 4 release date has been confirmed by Apple TV+

While people are waiting for more updates on the fourth season, Apple TV+ revealed on January 28, 2026 (ET) that the new installment will arrive in summer 2026. Moreover, the first look images from Ted Lasso Season 4 have created some excitement among the audience. The snaps include a shot of the lead character, 'Ted Lasso,' played by Jason Sudeikis, followed by another where he appears with the new assistant coach. One of the photos also shows 'Ted Lasso' with Hannah Waddingham's 'Rebecca Welton' near a jet.

Ted Lasso Season 4 will feature the lead character taking on a new challenge

Although viewers have to wait until the premiere of Ted Lasso Season 4 to know what might happen in the show, Apple TV+ has revealed a few details about the premise. Season 4 will feature 'Ted' returning to Richmond and joining as the coach of a second division women’s football team. The entire season will focus on the team learning how to think before taking any step and facing the biggest risks that they never expected to confront.

The finale of Ted Lasso Season 3 featured 'Ted' deciding to be with his son, 'Henry,' in the United States, as he met his team for the last time. Following 'Ted’s' return to the US, AFC Richmond is being handled by 'Roy Kent,' the new manager, who has emerged as a respected coach after being a player in the past. The ending of Season 3 also shows 'Rebecca' dropping her plans to sell the football team after understanding the value it holds for everyone. 

Ted Lasso Season 4 will witness the entry of some new characters

Just like every popular show, Ted Lasso will introduce more characters this time in Season 4. While the details of the characters have not been revealed, they would be portrayed by actors such as Jude Mack, Aisling Sharkey, Grant Feely, Tanya Reynolds, Faye Marsey, Abbie Hern, and Rex Hayes. Among the leads, Jason Sudeikis is undoubtedly returning as 'Ted Lasso.' There is also Hannah Waddingham as 'Rebecca Welton,' alongside Jeremy Swift, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt, and many others reprising their roles.
