The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star, Taylor Frankie Paul, is making headlines for her personal life. For the unversed, Taylor is currently at the centre of a highly-publicised controversy over a domestic violence investigation involving her and her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen. Amid the controversy, a video featuring Taylor’s shocking attack on Dakota has gained momentum online. The attack happened back in 2023, and Taylor’s daughter, Indy, was also present in the room during the fight. Now, ABC has made a big decision about The Bachelorette Season 22 premiere.
According to a report by People, ABC has cancelled the premiere of The Bachelorette Season 22 after a 2023 shocking video featuring Taylor Frankie Paul's attack on her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen, with a chair during the presence of her daughter, Indy, inside the room got leaked. It is worth mentioning that this is not the first time, Taylor’s reality TV show has been cancelled. The filming of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Season 5 is also on pause, reported People. Regarding the cancellation of the premiere of The Bachelorette Season 22, a Disney Entertainment Television spokesperson said:
"In light of the newly released video just surfaced today, we have made the decision not to move forward with the new season of The Bachelorette at this time, and our focus is on supporting the family."

The shocking video, featuring Taylor and her ex-boyfriend, Dakota, was shared by TMZ on March 19, 2026. According to the outlet, the video was one of the pieces of evidence in the case. The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star, Taylor Frankie Paul, was arrested for alleged domestic violence in 2023. The video was recorded by Dakota through his phone. While the old video gained traction on social media, Taylor’s spokesperson slammed her ex-boyfriend, Dakota. Speaking to People, Taylor Frankie Paul’s spokesperson said:
"It’s sad to see the latest instalment of his never-ending, desperate, attention-seeking, destructive campaign to harm Taylor without any regard for the consequences for their child. Releasing an old video, which conveniently omits context, on their son's birthday is a reprehensible attempt to distract from his own behaviour. Thankfully, the public has seen this act before and knows who he is, and sadly, many will recognise this pattern of manipulation, both in his actions on the show, and from their own experiences."

As per reports, the Draper City Police Department in Utah confirmed an ongoing domestic assault investigation involving Taylor and Dakota. Amid the ongoing domestic assault row, Taylor attended the press preview for the now-cancelled show, The Bachelorette Season 22 and opened up about the following. Taylor shared that it was extremely hard for her to show up. She called the situation a heavy time and unfortunate. She added that currently she is struggling, but she showed up at the event. She was quoted as saying:
"It's extremely hard, and it took everything to get me here today. It's just heavy. It's a heavy time, and it's unfortunate. I'm struggling for sure, but also at the same time, I feel like if I don't show up, then I'm just giving these opportunities away and not enjoying what we've worked on and something super exciting that's coming. I just feel like it was the right thing to do... show up even though it's hard."

Taylor and Dakota began dating in 2022. The couple shares a son, Ever, who turned 2 on March 19, 2026. However, in January 2025, Taylor confirmed her split from Dakota. Before finding love in Dakota, Taylor was married to Tate Paul. They share a daughter named Indy and a son named Ocean.
