Aryan Khan's 'The Ba**ds Of Bollywood' Mocks Sameer Wankhede With Look-Alike In Cinematic Bombshell

Aryan Kahn's debut series, The Ba***ds of Bollywood, has finally been released, and the very first episode has left the audience gasping for air. The series kicked off with a bang, touching on some of the biggest controversies in Bollywood, including nepotism, media criticism and his own alleged high-profile drug case involving Sameer Wankhede.

Aryan Khan is here to tell his story loud and proud, and he will make sure that every single person hears what he has to say. The Ba***ds of Bollywood, which started off with Lakshay, Raghav Juyal, Bobby Deol, and others, is currently streaming on Netflix. Right from the very beginning, Aryan has set the tone for a raw, unapologetic portrayal of the underbelly of the Hindi film industry.

Aryan Khan's series also takes a dig at his arrest. In one of the scenes, a man bearing a striking resemblance to ex-NCB officer Sameer Wankhede steps out of a jeep at a Bollywood party and detains a man smoking w**d. However, realising that he is just a regular DJ, he gets disappointed, until he spots a star doing the same and arrests him instead. The series further shows how the next morning, the arrest is all over the headlines, and the actor loses his film deals.

While neither Aryan Khan nor his family has commented on the case before, the fictionalised sequence raised several eyebrows, with some even suggesting that the debutant might have showcased what went down that night on the Mumbai to Goa cruise.

Aryan Khan takes a savage dig at star kids and film critics

Another segment of The Ba***ds of Bollywood shows 'Aasman Singh' played by 'Lakshay', an outsider trying to make it in Bollywood. However, despite delivering a strong debut, critics tear him down. 'Aasman' is further seen getting agitated while watching the reviews and says:

"He has started stammering from licking the boots of star kids."

Even though his film, Revolver, earned over Rs. 100 crore, Aasman isn't invited to filmmaker, Sanjeev Sharma's newcomer roundtable. The moment is used to highlight how commercial success doesn't guarantee acceptance for an outsider. Furthermore, when he is finally invited, the roundtable mirrors Rajeev Masand's 2019 interview, in which Siddhant Chaturvedi's iconic comeback to Ananya Panday sparked widespread debate about nepotism in Bollywood.

At the roundtable, 'Aasman' doesn't hold back and takes fiery jabs at 'Karishma Talwar' essayed by Sahher Bambba, daughter of superstar, 'Ajay Talwar' played by Bobby Deol. When 'Karishma' talked about the struggles of being a star kid, Aasman is quoted as saying:

"If she doesn’t work for two years, she will still ride back to her big house in a Mercedes. But if I don’t work for two months, I’ll be on a train back to Delhi. So now tell me, who really needs to work harder?"

However, the digs don't stop there as when 'Karishma Talwar' orders a coffee with sugar and a spoon, 'Aasman' quickly cuts her off and asks them to just get sugar as she was already born with a silver spoon. While thoroughly entertaining, The Ba***ds of Bollywood throws open the doors to conversations of the divide between insiders and outsiders.
