'The Golden Bachelor' Finale, Is Mel Owen's Ex Wife Watching His Dating Show? Here's What She Said

The Golden Bachelor Season 2 finale episode is finally here. Since the show premiered on September 24, 2025, everyone has been glued to their screens to see who ends up winning the heart of the 'Golden Bachelor', Mel Owens. Amid The Golden Bachelor garnering a huge audience, is the bachelor's former wife also watching him go on dates with other women? Mel Owens thinks his ex-wife, Fabiana Pimentel, should take a 'peek' at The Golden Bachelor Season 2

Mel Owens, in an interview with US Weekly, disclosed if his ex-wife, Fabiana was going to watch him give love a second chance on the dating show. The 'bachelor' said that he talked with his children, that he shares with Fabiana, and they revealed that their mother would not be catching any of the episodes of his season of The Golden Bachelor. However, Mel also stated that since everyone is 'peeking', his ex-wife should also take a look. The former NFL star said that if the roles were reversed and Fabiana were on a dating show, he would watch. Mel Owens was quoted as saying:

“I don’t know, but my boys told me, like, ‘Oh, she’s not gonna be watching.’ But everybody’s peeking. I’d be watching if it was her! Everybody’s peeking.”

As Mel revealed, his ex-wife is probably not watching The Golden Bachelor Season 2. Moreover, when The Daily Mail reached out to her for a comment on her ex-husband appearing on the show to choose his next lady love, Fabiana did not have many positive comments to share. She predicted that it was going to be 'bad' and did not want to get involved in it. However, Fabiana also wished Mel good luck. She stated:

 “Good luck. I mean, it’s going to be bad. But anyway, I don’t want to be involved in this."

Mel Owens was once married to Fabiana Pimentel, who is a Brazilian businesswoman. The two had tied the knot in 2002 and have two sons. In 2020, the couple separated, with Fabiana filing for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. The divorce was finalised in 2024. A few months after that, ABC announced that Mel Owens would star in The Golden Bachelor. The former NFL player shared in an earlier interview with US Weekly that the reason for his divorce from Fabiana was because she had fallen in love with someone else. He shared:

"If you want to find somebody else in a different phase in your life — it hurts — but I can’t get in the way of your happiness. And what’s your happiness may not be my happiness. That’d be a real conflict — you can’t stop somebody, say, ‘I’m over here now.’ You can beg and plead, but I’m fine. Life is short, and if you’re in love with somebody else, that’s fine.”
