Rachel Weisz has been leading the headlines and hogging the search bar as reports suggested that she might reprise her role as 'Evelyn Carnahan' alongside Brendan Fraser, i.e., 'Rick O'Connell' of The Mummy franchise. For the unversed, she appeared in two installments, The Mummy (1999) and The Mummy Returns (2001), while Maria Bello played her role in the third installment, The Mummy: Tomb Of The Dragon Emperor, which was released in 2008.

As the reports suggested that Rachel may again come back to the adventure-horror series, people are going gaga, driven by nostalgia. While it's yet to be officially confirmed whether Rachel Weisz is actually returning in The Mummy 4, let's have a look at her marital life. For the unversed, she has been married for over a decade now to James Bond actor, Daniel Craig. It was not 'love at first sight' but 'love on second meeting' for the couple, and it took the duo only half a year to take the plunge. So, without further ado, let's dive deep!
Rachel Weisz first met Daniel Craig back in the 90s, when they were cast in Les Grandes Horizontales at the National Theatre Studio in London. It was 1994, and the duo was on the rise. On top of it, by then, Daniel was already married to his ex-wife, Fiona Loudon. During that time, the couple remained professionals only, and little did they know that their second meeting was going to tie them forever in the marital knot. Daniel shares a daughter with his ex-wife, while Rachel also became a mom to her son, Henry, whom she shares with her ex-fiancé, director Darren Aronofsky.

Daniel and Fiona parted ways in 1994, and it was in 2010 that Rachel ended her relationship with Darren Aronofsky. Following this, she was cast opposite Daniel Craig in Dream House. They were acting as a married couple back then, and eventually, something sparked, and the duo fell in love with each other. Soon, Daniel and Rachel started dating. The couple kept their romance secret, and several reports back then were hitting the headlines that the duo was spending holidays together in the snowy countryside of Dorset in southwestern England. Talking about their love story, Dream House's producer, Ehren Kruger shared that there was matrimonial method acting, and from there only, things started between the duo. Ehren told MTV News:
"There is method acting and I guess there is matrimonial method acting. They were playing the roles as professional, and it went from there."

Rachel Weisz told The Evening Standard that getting married was never her ambition, and she never thought she would get married. Well, she mentioned that it just happened after meeting Daniel Craig, at a mature moment, and happily. The couple married in 2011, secretly. PEOPLE reported that the duo tied the knot in New York City. Later, it was revealed that Rachel Weisz and Daniel Craig married in the presence of four people, including two of their close friends and their children from previous relationships. The actor told British GQ that they kind of got away with it, and he had to thank a lot of people for this. While the couple kept their relationship private, it was in July 2011 that they made their first public appearance as a married couple by attending the Cinema Society & Dior Beauty screening of The Whistleblower.
Rachel Weisz and Daniel Craig are very much in love with each other. The couple decided to keep their marital life a secret, and talking about the same to More, Rachel said that her husband is really famous, and it would be a form of betrayal if she spilled details about her personal life out there in public. She further added that while being young, it feels exciting to share details about dating life among friends, but the best part about being married is that one gets to keep that life private and protected. She said:
"He's just too famous. It would be a betrayal. You have to protect your marriage ... When you're young, you tell your girlfriends everything. One of the great pleasures of not being an adolescent is that you don't have to share everything. When you're married, that door closes. The audience goes, and you're in your own life."
On the other hand, Daniel feels that his wife is the best thing that has happened to him. Talking to British GQ, the actor said that he is very much in love and happy, and he would like to keep the details close to his chest as being happy is the ultimate priority for him. He also shared that people have been telling him that being happy in marriage lasts for six months, and he has been choosing not to answer that. Daniel could be quoted as saying:
"I'm in love. I'm very happy. And that is as far as I'm prepared to go. I don't want to say something now that might be thrown back later … My happiness is more important to me. Ultimately, people are saying, 'Give it six months.' Well guess what? I'm not responding. Life is long and I am hopefully in this for the long run."

It was in 2018 when Rachel Weisz confirmed that she and Daniel were expecting their first child together. The couple welcomed their baby girl in the same year, whom they adorably named Grace. Talking about her daughter, Rachel, on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert said that the little one looks exactly like her dad, Daniel. On being asked if Grace has gotten her dad's dreamy blue eyes, Rachel confirmed the same with 'yeah'. The couple also often takes 'alternate' acting jobs, and that is due to being near their daughter. On the other hand, Daniel is an amazing father who now thinks about his daughter first before taking an acting job, as he doesn't want to stay away from home like before, as he said.
Rachel Weisz and Daniel Craig's relationship can be termed a 'destiny's call': they were co-stars when they first met, and neither knew they would share their lives together. Within a few years, things turned, and the couple found their soulmates in each other!
