The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Season 3 reunion delivered all the drama fans expected and more. The special episode, hosted by Stassi Schroeder, was organized to revisit every fallout between cast members, the DadTok blowups backstage, and the still-buzzing Marciano Brunette scandal. But beyond reunion fireworks, viewers are also curious to know more about the cast's real-life relationship histories, which have eventually shaped friendships, conflicts, and emotional tension on-screen. So, let's take a look at the relationship histories of every cast member from Season 3.
The Season 3 of the show featured nine women, including Jennifer Affleck, Whitney Leavitt, Mikayla Matthews, Mayci Neeley, Taylor Frankie Paul, Jessi Ngatikura, Layla Taylor, Miranda McWhorter, and Demi Engemann. The cast represented a mix of relationship statuses, including some who were married, others on the verge of divorce, blended families, and those trying a second chance at love. According to what the women shared on social media, several cast members have only been married once, while others have experienced major relationship transitions before they rose to MomTok spotlight.

Jen Affleck and Whitney fall into the first category because Jen married Zac Affleck in 2019, and Whitney has been married to Conner Leavitt since 2016. Both the Dancing With the Stars 34 ex-participants' marriages remain their only ones. At the same time, Mikayla Matthews is also seated in the same category, as she has remained with her husband, Jace Terry, without any previous divorces. Meanwhile, Mayci Neeley tied the knot with Jacob Neeley in 2018. Although she was in a long-term relationship earlier, her former partner tragically passed away in 2015. Therefore, Jacob is her only spouse. She once spoked about her journey on the Season 1 of the show and said:
"In season 1, my whole story line got cut, which was dealing with the loss of my son’s father and how I have been dealing with grief over the last 10 years. But in reality, now I’m glad it was cut from season 1. I’m glad it’s going to be in season 2 because it coincides with me getting a book deal. so it all wraps together and makes sense.”

On the other hand, Taylor Frankie Paul had a highly publicized split from Tate Paul in 2022, which played a significant role in the show's storyline. She later dated Dakota Mortensen, and they had a son, but their breakup dominated Season 3. Even Layla Taylor experienced a divorce after ending her marriage to Clayton Wessel in 2023, following three years of togetherness. Alongside, Miranda McWhorter had a breakup with Chase McWhorter in 2024, which heavily influenced the storyline of Season 3.

Jessi Ngatikura's had a more layered relationship history. She initially married Zach Gish, and they parted ways in 2019 before she tied the knot with Jordan Ngatikura in 2020. Jordan himself explained on a podcast that he had a rushed marriage. Recalling the same, he said:

"Very soon, we realised she wanted to do the whole Mormon route… I didn't believe in it."
Demi Engemann and her husband, Bret Engemann, also come from a blended family situation, as she was initially married to Blake Corbin from 2015 to 2020 before marrying her current husband. Bret was previously married to Angie Harrington, and they have children together. The interconnected families were another highlight on the show. Demi's relationship history once again came into the spotlight after she levied misconduct allegations against Marciano Brunette on the show, which he called consensual. At the same time, he revealed he had a brief relationship with Jessi Ngatikaura on the show. In turn, her husband told US Weekly:
“My plan is just to focus on my family. All these people online can chirp all day. There’s going to be people that hate me and there’s gonna be people that hate her. There’s going to be a really big broad spectrum of what people think about what they’ve been able to see. I think the best thing that I can do in that instead of being pissed off, it’s to remember that that’s in the past."

These relationship histories explain the reasons behind alliances, tensions, and emotional triggers that dominated Season 3. Many cast members carried the impact of earlier marriages, shared custody arrangements, or past heartbreaks, which naturally influenced their interactions during filming and, especially, the reunion on the show.
The good news for every fan of the show is that Hulu has officially renewed The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives for a 20-episode Season 4. It is set to premiere in early 2026. According to the streamer, the new season will delve deeper into the evolving MomTok and DadTok conflicts, exposing new conflicts among their friendships. It will continue exploring themes of faith, identity, loyalty, and modern Mormon culture. However, it will be interesting to see who joins the cast of the show.
