After the finale of season 3, there were speculations about the possibility of another season. But there was no official confirmation from the makers, and the fans of the television series were hoping for good news of another season.
It seems like there is some good news, as the makers have announced that, while there will not be a fourth season, a movie is in the works. Yes, you read that right. An official announcement was made on September 17, 2025, regarding a film to be released on Amazon, which will wrap up the story of Belly, Conrad, and the rest of the gang. There is no confirmation about the cast, but it seems Lola Tung, Gavin Casalegno and Christopher Btiney will be a part of the movie.
The film will be written by Jenny Han, who is also the author of the books on which the show is based. The exact plot is under wraps, and no further details are known. The announcement was made at the series’s finale red carpet celebration in Paris, France. Speaking about the same, Jenny said:
“There is another big milestone left in Belly’s journey, and I thought only a movie could give it its proper due. I’m so grateful to Prime Video for continuing to support my vision for this story and for making it possible to share this final chapter with the fans.”
One of the most loved series and a multigenerational drama, The Summer I Turned Pretty, focuses on a love triangle between one girl and two brothers, and how their relationships evolve over time. The show, a coming-of-age story, also explores female friendship. The final episode of season 3 was released on September 17, 2025, keeping the fans on their toes.
