This Guy Shared His Topper Classmate's 'Life After Marriage' On Twitter And We're Heartbroken

We might be launching more than a hundred satellites at a time and speaking eloquently about subjects like feminism and gender equality, but whenever it comes to protecting and respecting our women folks, something goes amiss and that too, alarmingly.

Here’s a story about a girl who once had it all (good education, ambition and career goals), but was married off because that’s what usually happens in a typical Indian society. A woman’s career is never given as much importance as the dire need to get her married. If the girl is unmarried, it’s more likely to stamp her with various perceptions, perceptions that people have in abundance.

Twitter user Usman Ghani shared the story of one of his ex-classmates who was brilliant in studies, fiercely ambitious and really wanted to do something for herself but as fate would have it, her dreams and aspirations were cut short when her parents decided to marry her off. Unfortunately, marriage and her life partner didn’t do her any good and you will be shocked to know why.
