Tiger Shroff's Baaghi 4 release is just a few hours away. Viewers can hit the theatres and enjoy the action-thriller on big screens from September 5, 2025 (Friday) onwards. The movie has already generated buzz since its trailer was unveiled on the reality TV show, Bigg Boss 19. Now, Baaghi 4 has gained heightened traction due to reports of its slow advance booking collection, amid issues such as over 20 scene cuts, despite already being rated 'A'.
The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), which regulates the public exhibition of films through a transparent and responsible certification process, ordered 23 cuts and numerous audio changes for Baaghi 4. The modifications were requested due to the excessive gore and strong sexual references, as per an exclusive report by Bollywood Hungama. The board considered certain scenes and dialogues also offensive and needed alterations or removal. The CBFC certified the film on August 26, 2025, ahead of its theatrical release.
The CBFC-marked sacrilegious scenes included one where a character lights a cigarette from a niranjan diya (an oil lamp used for worship) and a shot of a knife being thrown at a statue of Jesus Christ. Scenes of extreme brutality were also asked to be significantly reduced. It included the removal of visual depictions of throat-slitting, the severing of hands and goons being killed with swords.
Other scenes that got removed included the lighting of a cigarette from a severed hand, and another showing a sword being thrust into a skull, were also asked to be deleted. Besides violent depictions, several sexually improper scenes also faced the scrutiny of the CBFC. They included a frontal nude scene, which had to be hidden in an unobtrusive way. A shot showing a hand rubbing a girl's hip was also removed.
The word 'condom' was muted in a dialogue, and the word 'fingering' was replaced with a milder, more acceptable term. The phrase 'bhang b****a' was also altered. Beyond muting curse words, the board also ordered other dialogue changes, such as altering 'Tera wajood hi mit jaayega God' to 'Sab dekhte reh jayenge'. Although the particular dialogue loses its essence through the modification, CBFC felt that it was necessary to avoid hurting viewers' religious sentiments.
