Television actress, Tina Datta and her brewing romance with Shalin Bhanot inside the Bigg Boss 16 house have become the talk of the nation. However, soon things took an ugly turn, and their friendship turned sour. The two had a lot of fights, and in a media interaction, Tina revealed that Shalin had once even tried to hit her. She called him aggressive and confirmed that nothing was going on between the two.
Tina Datta is out of the Bigg Boss 16 race. However, in an interview with ETimes, Tina revealed that Shalin had raised a finger at her character and even tried to hit her once. She also shared that he has been putting an act in the reality show and this is not his real self. Tina was quoted as saying:
"Had I not met him or been friends with him on the show my journey would have been so different and nice. Shalin raised a finger at my character and was so aggressive that he tried to hit me once but when I tried to bring out his real image to the public that backfired against me. Probably he is a good actor than a better person."

Earlier, in an interview with Pinkvilla, Tina had confirmed that she would never meet Shalin Bhanot in her entire life. She also clarified that there is no equation or bond between them.
Things got nasty when inside the Bigg Boss 16 house, when one of the contestants, Sumbul Touqueer's father expressed his anger while talking to his daughter. However, it was his words that left everyone in shock. It all started when Bigg Boss gave Sumbul an opportunity to talk to her father over a phone call in the confession room. Her father scolded her for being obsessed with Shalin. However, things took an ugly turn when he called Tina Datta and Shalin Bhanot 'kaminey log' for assassinating Sumbul's character.
After this, Tina's mother expressed her pain after hearing such words for her daughter on national television. In a video posted on Tina's official IG handle, her mother bared her heart out with folded hands. She was shocked at hearing such abusive language for her daughter from another contestant's father.
