Tina Parekh rose to immense fame as 'Shruti Om Agarwal' in Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki. She was one of the most successful actresses on television with three famous shows. Despite a lot of hard work, she found love at the most unexpected time. She met Vikram Hazra in 2007, and it was the former's Guru, Shri Shri Ravi Shankar, who arranged their engagement. Shri Shri Ravi Shankar met Tina, and he placed garlands around the couple's necks and told them they would marry in six months. It was Vikram and Tina's first meeting.
In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, since it was an all-of-a-sudden union, Tina's parents were not happy with their union. They revolted as Vikram had no stable job. He was a volunteer at the Art of Living ashram. But she asked her brother to meet him once, and if they agree, she would get married; otherwise, she won't. After their first meeting, the family accepted him.
When Siddharth questioned whether she ever regretted or questioned her decision. Tina stated that on the fifth day of their wedding, she realised it won't work out. So, at four in the morning, she woke him up and asked him that it is not working out and she wants to go back home. She said:
"So, at four clock in the morning I told Vikram I don't think it will work out I want to go back. So he said, that's Vikram for you, he is a 'yes mam'. He never said no to me. He never raised his voice. Agar jhagda bhi hota toh I am the one yell, he let me thaw. So when I told him, he said, 'Raat ke 4 baje hai so jao abhi, subah utha kar nashta kar ke mai chor ke aata hoon na.' and I said ok."
In the morning, when they were having breakfast, Vikram told her that his Guruji had asked him to marry her, so he must have seen something. He added that give this marriage three months, and if nothing works out, and Tina still wanted to go back, he would agree. Tina stated that Vikram told her that he would find the right man for her and will take the blame on himself, and the family won't know. Recalling the moment, Tina said:
"We were having breakfast he said, 'Listen na, there is something we are missing, we are not seeing. If Guruji saw us together and he said we will be married, he had seen something, which we are not seeing. Do you want to give it a shot? Let's give it a try, if in three months you see this is not working out I promise you I will still be your best friend, still root for you, still find you a good boy and I will take the blame on me and your parents will never find out that you didn't want to stay with me.' Those were the lines of him."
