Tisca Chopra is a well-known actress, film producer and author. She has been a part of nearly 45 films, mainly in the Hindi film industry. Her father was a school principal, and she started her career in theatre. Despite coming from a non-filmy background, she has been able to make a mark for herself in the industry. But she also had to experience some undesired experiences. Tisca recently sat down for an interview with Galatta Plus and revealed a shocking incident from 2016.
Tisca Chopra shared an incident from 2016 when a young actor replaced her on a project. In her interview, Tisca shared that she was preparing for a project shoot scheduled to start within four days. However, the director suddenly informed her that the producer had cast another actress for the role, which left her thinking. Recalling the experience, she said:

“In 2016, there was a particular director who strung me along for a bit of time. We started doing prep, costumes, lines, and everything. About four days before the shoot, he said they were going with someone younger. Then, he tried to fob it off by saying it was the producers' call. But I could see that it was just… I didn’t want to hear that anymore.”

Despite the odd experiences, the Good Newwz actress got to work with some great directors, witness their work process, and learn it. Tisca added that if youth and beauty matter to some people, it's a sad thing and she can't agree with it. She was quoted as saying:
"If youth and beauty are the only two things that are attractive in a particular market… my insides rebelled against that. If they are interested only in young and beautiful, it’s a very sad world we’re living in.”
Tisca has worked in various formats, such as theatre, television, films, and OTT. She has worked in different mediums, like judging a reality show on TV, doing a non-fiction show, or working on OTT, which gives her a chance to work on ten episodes. She feels that actors are blessed to have the opportunity to do so many things in many places. But, she mentioned prioritising the script when choosing a project rather than the medium is more important to her.

Despite some shocking experiences in her career, Tisca shared that she had a positive experience working with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. For the unversed, Tisca worked on films like Good Newwz and Jugjugg Jeeyo under the production house. In her interview with Siddharth Kannan, Tisca praised the organisation, smooth working environment, and attention to detail paid by Dharma Productions. She added that they take good care of artists and offer options if someone asks for a change.

Tisca Chopra began acting in theatre and debuted in Platform (1993), co-starring opposite Ajay Devgan. She has starred in projects like Taare Zameen Par, Taqdeerwala, Firaaq, Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Ji, Highway, Good Newwz, Jugjugg Jeeyo, and more. She was last seen in Netflix's Murder Mubarak. It has a multi-starrer cast, including Pankaj Tripathi, Sara Ali Khan, Vijay Varma, Dimple Kapadia, Karisma Kapoor, and Sanjay Kapoor.
