Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has been constantly making it to the headlines for all negative reasons. For the unversed, several actors and actresses made shocking claims against the show's producer, Asit Kumarr Modi and other makers. One such actor was Shailesh Lodha, who worked for nearly 14 years with Asit Modi's show but stepped back due to his spat with the producer. As per several reports, Shailesh was not paid a huge amount of money and was waiting for his due to get clear. Moreover, now it is being reported that Shailesh has won the lawsuit that he filed against TMKOC producer, Asit Modi for not clearing his dues.
A report by The Times Of India claimed that as per the settlement terms, a hefty amount of Rs. 1,05,84,000 is being paid to Shailesh Lodha by Asit Kumarr Modi. The report also claimed that earlier this year, Shailesh took the help of the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) to help him clear his dues. For the uninformed, the issue was heard via virtual hearing under Section 9 of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code.

After winning the Lawsuit against TMKOC producer, Asit Kumarr Modi, Shailesh Lodha opened up about the same. In an interview with TOI, the talented artist shared that the fight was not about money but it was about justice and self-respect. Shailesh mentioned that he feels happy that the truth has finally prevailed. Talking more about the same, Shailesh also mentioned that before clearing his dues, Asit Kumarr Modi and his team wanted him to sign some particular papers and gave him certain conditions that he can't reveal it to the media. Shailesh mentioned that he didn't bow down against them as he thinks he doesn't need to sign any paper to get his own earned money. Shailesh Lodha stated:
"This fight was never about the money. It was about seeking justice and self-respect. I feel like I have won a battle and I’m happy that the truth has prevailed...He (Asit) wanted me to sign some papers to clear my dues. They had certain clauses like you cannot talk to the media and other things. I didn’t bow down to the arm-twisting. Why would I sign any papers to get my own money?”
Earlier, during an event, Shailesh Lodha was asked about his exit from the show. To this, the actor took a sly dig at the show's producer. The actor mentioned:
"Doosron ki pratibhaon se apna naam karne vale logg, kisi pratibhashali vyakti se bade nahi ho sakte. Duniya ka koi publisher, lekhak se bada nahi ho sakta, koi producer kisi abhineta se bada nahi ho sakta, vo vyapari hai. Jab bhi koi vyapari mere kavi hone pe, mere abhineta hone par haavi hoga, tab tab jwalamukhi fatega."

For the uninformed, Shailesh Lodha used to play the role of 'Taarak Mehta' in the show and announced his quit back in 2022. During that time, the reports were rife that the rift between the actor and the producer was due to financial issues. Soon after, the show's producers released a statement about the growing reports about Shailesh Lodha’s dues claiming despite repeated communication to sign all dues documents and collect his pending payment, the actor has refused to do it.
