American singer-songwriter, Todd Snider, is a folk, rock, blues, alt-country, and funk artist. He hails from Portland, Oregon, and has been in the music industry for over two decades. The singer was on the tour, High, Lonesome and Then Some, when he was allegedly assaulted outside his hotel. However, soon after, he was arrested for threatening the hospital staff. The incident has left fans confused and worried. So, here is what exactly happened.
Todd Snider was forced to cancel a performance scheduled this weekend in South Salt Lake after claiming he had been assaulted before the concert. However, it was also revealed that he was then arrested for allegedly causing a disturbance at the hospital where he was treated. Todd was set to play at The Commonwealth Room for the second stop of his High, Lonesome and Then Some tour. But it seems like the recent events have taken away that opportunity.

Todd Snider's team shared the update on social media on November 3, 2025 (ET). It revealed that he "sustained severe injuries as the victim of a violent assault outside of his hotel," although they shared no details. The South Salt Lake Police Department has not confirmed anything regarding an assault. Still, court documents show Todd Snider, 59, was arrested on November 2, 2025, for his alleged behavior at a local hospital. A part of the statement read:
"We are heartbroken to announce the cancellation of the High, Lonesome and Then Some 2025 Tour dates. Ahead of Todd Snider's show in Salt Lake City, Todd sustained severe injuries as the victim of a violent assault outside of his hotel. Todd will be unable to perform for an undetermined amount of time. We deeply apologize for the cancellation and any inconvenience it causes. We appreciate your understanding as Todd receives needed medical treatment. We hope to have more information on new dates soon."

After being treated at Salt Lake City Regional Hospital, police said that Todd Snider was discharged by the medical staff. However, he believed he should have been kept under observation for longer. Police further revealed that Todd yelled and cursed at the staff before being told to leave. An employee told him not to return, but he did, and allegedly threatened a member of the staff, saying he would "kick their a**."

Todd Snider was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail soon after the incident took place. Now, he faces charges of disorderly conduct, criminal trespassing, and threatening violence. While the singer has since been released, formal charges have not been filed as of the evening of November 3, 2025 (ET). Nonetheless, Todd's tour is now on hold as his team says he cannot perform "for an undetermined amount of time" due to his injuries. He was meant to play in Phoenix on November 3, 2025, West Hollywood on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, and San Francisco on Wednesday, November 5, 2025.
