Tom Hiddleston's recent remarks about Shah Rukh Khan playing a variant of his character 'Loki' have sparked interest in possible collaborations between Hollywood and Bollywood. During an interview with Bollywood Hungama on November 14, 2023, when asked about his preferred choice for the role, Hiddleston expressed his interest in seeing Shah Rukh Khan in the part. He said:
“Shah Rukh Khan. He would be great. He is a good variant, I think.”
Previously, the 42-year-old British actor was promoting the first season of Loki, and he revealed his appreciation and love for SRK. In an interview with NDTV, Tom Hiddleston recalled watching Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Devdas, and he said that he never saw anything that extraordinary. Tom said:
"I remember it was quite a long time ago now. I remember going to see Devdas. I mean, that's quite an old film. I remember going to see that at my local cinema, and it was such an extraordinary. I would say I have never seen anything like that. So, yeah, I remember that very much."

Just a few days before the release of season 1 of Loki, Disney+Hotstar had uploaded a promotional video of Tom Hiddleston. In the video, the actor was asked to play word association. When he was asked about India and Bollywood, the Loki star took the name of King Khan, aka Shah Rukh Khan, twice.
Tom Hiddleston’s admiration for SRK reached the Badshah of Bollywood, and he even reposted the Loki promotional video with a sweet note for the actor. SRK penned:
“You are kind, God of Mischief... hope there’s no mischief behind this claim, though. Lots of love, Tom and can’t wait to binge Loki!!! Starting now- Ep 1!”
