Triptii Dimri, who had no prior connections to the industry, rose to stardom quickly and astonishingly. Her performances started getting noticed by movie buff and then she made the risky decision of agreeing to star in the contentious movie, Animal directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. It was risky move but in the end it paid off as she became the 'national crush' for her role in the film.
Triptii, however, recently revealed in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India that she didn’t always love acting and didn’t see it as a viable career path. Her only desire was to explore something new. She was never particularly strong academically, so she told her parents that she wanted to give her a shot.
She also said that because she was a quiet and introverted person who had never left Delhi, her parents had initially been very afraid of her relocating to Mumbai. They were first unhappy with her choice to enter the modelling or entertainment industry at large. Nevertheless, she decided to pursue it so that she wouldn’t regret it later.
Triptii recalled that she had originally failed the Laila Majnu (2018) casting call, but the casting director requested her to try again, stating that, after all, she looked like a Kashmiri. After all, she landed the role, and the film served as her big break into Bollywood. She admitted that, at the time, she had no knowledge of acting. She said:
"Even then, I didn’t know acting. I would sit in workshops with my director, Sajid Ali and (co-star) Avinash Tiwary and they would have discussions on acting, backstory and characterisations. I would just sit there, blank-faced, not knowing anything."
During workshops with director, Sajid Ali and co-star, Avinash Tiwary, they would discuss acting, character backstories, and characterisations while she sat there expressionless and unsure. Often, she would go home in tears, questioning whether she was making the right decision, as she couldn’t grasp their conversations or the terminology they used. In her words:

"I would go home and cry thinking, ‘Am I doing the right thing?’ because I didn’t understand what they were saying or their language. But I was too scared. When you’re there and not getting anything, you feel like you are a fool, right? I would feel like a fool every single day, she mentioned, thanking Sajid Ali for helping her understand the character of Laila."
Actress, Triptii Dimri is making waves right now because the Women Entrepreneurs of FICCI FLO are claiming that she missed an event in Jaipur. Triptii did not show up for the function despite allegedly being charged Rs. 5.5 lakh for it. The Animal actress was in Jaipur to promote her forthcomimg film, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video.
The event’s organisers were so angry on the actress for not attending the event, they decided to boycott the actress and her movies. Several footage from the event went viral on social media, and irate women were seen blackening the actress’ poster. “Mooh kaala karo iska,” a woman was also heard to say.
