Vijay and Trisha were first seen together on-screen in the 2004 film, Ghilli, which was a blockbuster hit. The pair soon got a lot of love from the fans and went on to act together in films like Aathi, Thirupachi, and Kuruvi. However, after the 2008 film, Kuruvi, Trisha and Vijay didn’t work together for 15 long years.

The duo stopped working together as there were rumours about them being madly in love with one another after Ghilli. It was also speculated that Vijay was asked by his family to not work with Trisha, pertaining to the rumours. After 15 long years, the duo shared the screen space again in the film, Leo.

In an interview with Karan Johar on his celebrity talk show, Koffee With Karan, when Rana Daggubati was asked about his much-discussed relationship with Trisha Krishnan, the actor admitted that they were dating. However, things hadn't worked out in between them. Thus, they parted ways. Talking about the same, he had said:

"She (Trisha Krishnan) has been my friend for a decade. We have been friends for a long time and even dated. But, I guess, things didn't work out."

Trisha Krishnan called off her engagement with a Chennai-based businessman

After her breakup with Rana Daggubati, Trisha Krishnan got engaged to a Chennai-based businessman, Varun Manian in 2015. However, after a few months, Trisha called off her engagement with Varun and her entire fanbase was shocked. According to multiple reports, Varun's father was against his son's decision to marry Trisha, as he had wanted someone from a similar background to enter their family. 

In 2016, when Trisha’s film, Kodi was released, she was asked about her broken engagement, and the actress revealed the reason behind the same in an interview with a leading website. Revealing how her fiancé asked her to quit films, Trisha stated:

“That's why my wedding was called off. The person I was supposed to marry, asked me to stop acting. Instead of films, I chose to put a full stop to my engagement."
