Rachael Ray made a rare public appearance in New York City on Wednesday, October 15, 2025. She was seen at the CBS Broadcast Centre in Midtown Manhattan for a Friday episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, according to the show’s website. Earlier in July, her strange behaviour with the guests at a meet and greet for her gin line sparked concerns among her fans. 

Why are fans concerned for Rachael Ray?

Rachael Ray was spotted arriving at The Drew Barrymore Show on October 15, 2025, in a studio in New York City. This was one of her first major appearances following weeks of speculation about her health and behaviour. In her appearance, she was seen smiling at the photographers entering the Manhattan studio. It all started at a promotional event for her gin brand, where people described her behaviour as bizarre and out of character. According to insiders who witnessed this said Ray was seen 'acting strange and touchy with the guests' at the event. 

Who’s Rachael Ray?

Born as Rachael Domenica Ray on August 25, 1968, is an American cook. She is a television personality, businesswoman, chef, and author. She hosted the daily talk show and lifestyle programs such as 30 Minute Meals, Rachael Ray's Tasty Travels, $40 a Day, and Rachael Ray's Week in a Day, as well as the reality format shows Rachael vs. Guy: Celebrity Cook-Off and Rachael Ray's Kids Cook-Off. 

Rachael has also written several cookbooks based on her show 30 Minute Meals and launched a magazine, Every Day with Rachael Ray, in 2006. Her television shows have been nominated many times, and she has also won three Daytime Emmy Awards for her show. 

Why do people call Rachael's behaviour bizarre?

Rachael was overly affectionate, greeting guests with unexpected hugs at her gin brand launch. According to the insider, 'It was the middle of the day and hours before cocktail time, but Rachael seemed to be buzzing.' However, she was simply excited to see her fans. Earlier in May 2025, a longtime associate told the Enquirer that she had ghosted them while living in Italy, and some videos showed her fans spotting that she slurred her speech. The cookbook author hinted at one problem on an October episode of her podcast, I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead. “I love physical labour,” Ray said. 'I’ve had a couple of bad falls in the last couple of weeks, so I haven’t been doing that in a while.'

What will be Rachael Ray’s next project? 

A+E Global Media is once again collaborating with celebrity chef and TV personality, Rachael Ray as the network is expanding its partnership with her. This will be Ray’s return to television after stepping away from her long-running daytime talk show. Under the latest announcement, Ray and her production company, Free Food Studios, a joint venture between Rachael Ray and A+E Global Media, will produce 110 new episodes of original programming.

That order includes new episodes of Ray’s Meals in Minutes, which will air on television in 2026. The joint venture launched various culinary-related series in 2024, featuring 278 new episodes from Free Food Studios With Ray, and also includes series with other notable chefs. In a statement, Ray said that she is thrilled and that the content they create connects viewers and cooks together. She said:

“Together with Free Food Studios, we’ve built a creative space where cooks and viewers can connect through comfort, curiosity, and real-life inspiration—and I can’t wait to bring even more of that to audiences everywhere.”

What is Yum-O, and how is it related to her? 

Ray launched the non-profit organisation named Yum-O in 2006. The mission behind this project was to empower kids and their families to grow a healthy relationship between food and cooking.
