'Rain, rain go away, come some another day, we have so much work piled up on our desks and places to visit that no autowalas will take us to!' Well, we are sure as Mumbai welcomes monsoon back to its home, it has also welcomed the problem of floods and water everywhere. But before we give you a sneak peek of Mumbai's heavy rain and the problem that comes with it, let us take a quick recap of former Bollywood actress, Twinkle's journey to becoming Mrs Funnybones. The actress-turned-writer wrote a perfect narrative and her switch from mainstream cinema to the world of accomplished authors is a glorious one. She proved that with the right words and a little bit of humor, you can turn every situation into an inspiring piece.

Recently, Twinkle yet again showed the power of her pen and turned an upsetting situation into a perfectly written tweet that depicts the state of rains in Mumbai. The writer and her superstar husband, Akshay Kumar were going on a vacation to London with their daughter, Nitara, but the rains played a spoiled sport and they had to 'sail back home'. So, she took to Twitter to announce how the runway was shut because it was flooded. She wrote, "The captain was better off commandeering a ship than an aircraft last night, planes skidding, runways flooded and we all sailed back home #DisableAirplaneMode". Take a look at it below:

Well, this isn't the first time when Twinkle turned a disappointing situation into a witty piece. A couple of weeks ago, the starlet was missing her husband, Akshay and so she took to her Instagram handle and shared a cute picture with him. However, it was her way of expressing her love that made us gush. She had written, "My glass is perhaps always half full but it sort of feels filled to the brim when this hunk is around #friendsforever#absencemakestheheartandallthatjazz". We remember how in an interview with Verve magazine, Twinkle had shared her acting journey and what people thought of her. She had stated, "People were surprised that I could even spell my own name! Everything from the outside is different. Once I wrote about a train journey and how the strap of my bag got stuck around a woman’s neck. Someone asked, ‘How does this woman know about trains? Yes, I was privileged till the age of 10, and then with my mother (actor Dimple Kapadia) I led a middle-class life. I went from a convertible to a rickshaw, but I loved it! I loved the freedom! Due to this, I’ve had two very different vantage points. This gives me insight into multiple narratives."

She had further talked about her writing struggles and had shared, "People expected Mrs Funnybones Two. Now that I’ve crossed that barrier, people don’t know what to expect of me. I write the way that I speak. What you see is what you get. But I still rely on research. The humour in a village will be different from that in an urban setting. To tackle this I use dialogue. That’s something I’ve worked on diligently. I didn’t know how good I was with dialogue when I started out, but I think I’ve improved now. Writers have little confidence. That’s why we write. Perhaps we are misfits in the real world and therefore we need to make up our own world to inhabit."
In the same interview, Twinkle had revealed how she tries to balance her work and personal life, and had said, "After my husband has left for work and my kids have left for school. I write for three to four hours. I write in silence without music or distractions. But once I’m neck-deep in a book I can write for longer hours. Everything else becomes white noise. Being a writer means that you can’t give 100 percent of yourself to other aspects of your life. Even if you’re physically present, you’re emotionally absent. I once sleepwalked through my daughter’s birthday. I also become reclusive when I’m writing. If I go out, even with friends, I’ll lose my flow. Sometimes characters are more interesting than friends. In fact, for a month after I finish writing a book, I feel depressed because I have to go back to the real world."
