The gorgeous Twinkle Khanna is known for her wit and the way she manages her professional as well as personal life. Also known as Mrs Funnybones, Twinkle is a hands-on mommy and shares a warm rapport with her children, Aarav and Nitara. Be it recording Nitara’s karate practice with daddy, Akshay Kumar or praising Aarav’s cooking skills, the doting mommy loves sharing glimpses of her little ones.
Just like her author mom, Nitara too loves reading and we have often seen how the little angel spends most of her time with her books. In February 2021, Twinkle had posted a picture of her morning routine with Nitara, doing what they love the most i.e., reading at their favourite corner in the house. Twinkle had captioned the post as “‘You have a quota-25 pages a day and so do I.’ She asks, ‘But who gives you the quota mama?’ ‘That’s the tricky part of being an adult. You have to give yourself these tasks and make sure you stick by them.’ With brushed teeth and uncombed hair, we begin our mornings in the best way possible. It may not be 25 pages everyday, sometimes it’s merely 5, but it all adds up eventually. #readingcorner.”
A few hours back, Twinkle Khanna took to her IG handle and revealed why her daughter, Nitara has no future as a makeup artist. Sharing a funny makeover given to her by Nitara, Twinkle wrote, “Another day and another makeover! I am clearly a glutton for punishment. And the little one has no future as a makeup artist! #FunnyMakeovers.”
This is not the first time that Nitara had given Twinkle a makeover. In 2020, Twinkle had taken to her Instagram handle and had shared a glimpse of Nitara's makeup skills. She had posted a picture of herself and had written, "The little one has given me a fine makeover. Brows on fleek and all that jazz. @namratasoni watch out-you have some serious competition! #grouchomarxeyebrows."
In March 2021, Twinkle Khanna had posted a monochrome picture with Nitara, showering the little one with hugs and kisses and had explained the role of mothers and the art of ‘perfectly imperfect parenting’. Twinkle had captioned her post as “Our job is not to give our children perfect childhoods. It is to fill their heads with ideas, to honour their strengths and make them aware, but never underline their weaknesses. It involves loving them madly and throwing a few vegetables down their throats. We need to permanently dedicate a large number of our neurons towards their mosquito bites, bad grades and hurt feelings. And we must do all of this, day after day, without losing sight of everything we are and can be, along with being their mothers. #perfectlyimperfectparenting.”
On September 25, 2020, Nitara had turned 8 and Twinkle had penned an adorable birthday wish for her angel. Sharing candid pictures of Nitara, Twinkle had written, “My little one turns 8! Along with all the strange and wonderful bits and bobs that seem to permeate her universe, the first copy of our children’s book-When I Grow Up I Want To Be.. has also been presented to her-for a review:) I don’t know what she wants to be when she grows up, all I know is that it’s happening too fast. #BirthdayGirl.”

Birthdays in childhood were the best! A handful of friends would be invited. The menu would be simple, consisting of delicious homecooked foods, and the gifts would be simpler, like crayons and pencil boxes. Much nostalgia?
