The K-pop industry is buzzing with the news of yet another budding romance. This time, it is between TXT’s Beomgyu and ITZY’s Yeji. The duo was reportedly spotted on a date. As per a TikTok video posted by a fan on August 12, 2023, the K-pop couple was spotted on a date, the post went viral in no time, and fans started to congratulate the duo for their new romance.

For the unversed, TXT is a South Korean five-member K-pop boy band, where Beomgyu is a singer and songwriter. Similarly, Yeji is a singer, dancer and rapper of ITZY, a K-pop girl group. The two stars have a similar target audience and are immensely popular in South Korea, so the duo becoming a couple brought about a wave of euphoria amongst their fans.

TXT’s Beomgyu and ITZY’s Yeji’s dating TikTok

Though banned in India, TikTok is one of the most popular social media platforms in South Korea. So a user took to TikTok and uploaded a video where Beomgyu and Yeji are seen walking hand-in-hand through an ally. The user captioned the post as 'Best Couple' with hashtags of Beomgyu and Yeji. The TikTok went viral in no time, and fans started congratulating the couple.

Netizens pointed out that the picture is from a C-drama

While on one side, some fans were elated to see their favourite K-pop idols, Beomgyu and Yeji, indulging in a romantic relationship, others quickly expressed their disapproval on the same. One such fan pointed out that the image posted on TikTok is taken from a C-drama, The Oath Of Love, and Beomgyu and Yeji are not in any relationship. Moreover, both the idol’s agencies have not released any official statement about the two dating, so it’s safe to say that the TikTok was just a false alarm.

Yeji and her girl group, ITZY just dropped their Japanese maxi albums, Voltage and BLAH BLAH BLAH, and will soon be releasing them in South Korea. As for Beomgyu, the talented songwriter is taking his time to produce his future musical endeavours and is on a break. However, Beomgyu holds regular virtual jamming sessions with his fans over social media and sings for them.
