Uma Thurman is considered one of the living legends of American cinema. Even after more than three decades, Thurman's character, 'Mia Wallace' from the 1994 film, Pulp Fiction, still lives rent-free in the hearts of cinephiles. The iconic actress is considered one of the most striking presences of her generation. From rising to global fame in Pulp Fiction to becoming the iconic 'Bride' in Kill Bill: Volume 1 (2003) and Volume 2 (2004), Thurman continues to inspire young actresses worldwide.
One can understand the level of her acting prowess simply by knowing that legendary filmmaker, Quentin Tarantino has often called his character 'The Bride', played by Thurman, in the Kill Bill movie series, his most powerful creation. She portrayed the character on the big screen with such brilliance that even to this day, film enthusiasts talk about it. Tarantino and Thurman's duo was so successful and iconic that even rumours about their alleged marriage started making waves in juicy columns.

It was back in 2014 when some media outlets reported that Uma Thurman and Quentin Tarantino had taken their years of friendship to the next level by taking a major step. Soon, people started speculating that the actress-director duo had reportedly taken the plunge in an alleged secret wedding ceremony. In an interview, when Thurman was asked about the same, she denied them and clearly stated that both she and Tarantino laughed about their marriage reports. She said:
"Our relationship is pretty much what it's always been; people are just having fun with it."

Quentin Tarantino and Uma Thurman were nothing more than just close friends. However, a series of men have reportedly fallen in love with her. The Hysterical Blindness actress has been linked to or dated several men, including David Wike, Andre Balazs, William Sieghart, Timothy Hutton, John Cusack, Phil Joanou, and Steve Bing. In the end, only two people married her, but unfortunately, neither of them could love her the way she wanted to be loved. So, without further ado, let's get into Thurman's marriage with Gary Oldman and Ethan Hawke.

Uma Thurman's first marriage was to iconic Hollywood actor, Gary Oldman. The couple got married in 1990, when she was on the cusp of her breakthrough. At the time of their marriage, while Thurman was just 20, Gary was 32, and their 12-year age difference was enough to set the headlines ablaze. Unfortunately, they parted ways in 1992, and years after their divorce, Thurman labeled their marriage as a 'mistake'. In other interviews, Thurman admitted that she was inexperienced and their significant age gap was among the factors that led to the end of their marriage.

Uma Thurman's second marriage was to another Hollywood icon, Ethan Hawke. The former lovebirds met on the sets of their film, Gattaca (1997). After dating each other for some time, they took the plunge on May 1, 1998. Thurman and Hawke welcomed their first child, a baby girl, in July 1998, whom they named Maya. The couple welcomed their second child, a baby boy named Levon, in January 2002. Everything was going wonderfully, but then came the year 2003, and rumours circulated of Hawke's alleged infidelity with their nanny, Ryan Shawhughes.

In the same year, the couple separated, and in 2004, they filed for divorce. After their divorce was finalized in August 2005, Uma Thurman cited irreconcilable differences and their respective ambitious careers as the reasons they decided to part ways. However, the couple's divorce resurfaced after Ethan Hawke married Ryan Shawhughes, the nanny with whom he was linked in 2004. Although Hawke denied dating Shawhughes in 2004, he still received widespread criticism and trolling amidst claims of alleged infidelity.
Fast forward to 2025, Hawke and Shawhughes are still together, and they have two daughters, Clementine Jean Hawke and Indiana Hawke. On the other side, Uma Thurman is living a peaceful life with her kids and isn't dating anyone right now. From Dexter: Resurrection to The Old Guard 2, she continues to rule the big screen with her presence, just like the good old days of Kill Bill.
