Their Italy wedding was followed by two wedding receptions- one in Delhi for people belonging to the political fraternity and the other one in Mumbai, a star-studded night, for their industry friends. While more details about their attire later, let us take you on a flashback and give you a glimpse of a beautiful memory from their Delhi reception. An unseen picture from their reception has emerged wherein famous Punjabi singer, Gurdas Mann had performed and Anushka is seen dancing crazily with Virat, which serves as another example as to how much this Bolly-cricket couple loves dancing! Right from her engagement, mehendi, wedding, until her two star-studded receptions, Anushka Sharma was a top-to-toe Sabyasachi Mukherjee bride! Through an Instagram post, the celebrity designer had explained Anushka’s Delhi reception look and had stated, “I don’t think Indian brides feel complete without wearing the colour red in one of their functions. Anushka decided to wear red on her reception. And much to my absolute delight, it would be a red Benarasi saree. From the by-lanes of Peeli Kothi in Benaras. I was particularly excited about this look because I have seen an entire generation of Bengali women getting married in red Benarasi sarees.” (Must Read: Virat Kohli's Gentlemanly Love For Anushka Sharma On Their Candlelight Dinner Date Is So Endearing)
Sabyasachi Mukherjee had further added, “The red bindi, the sindoor and the mogras in her hair just made the look more potent and powerful. She chose to wear heritage uncut diamond choker and jhumkas from the Sabyasachi Bridal Jewelry collection. Bollywood can play a major role in spreading awareness about Indian textiles and handlooms. And I must say the occasion couldn’t be better. I know copies of this saree will flood the entire country in the next few months to come, which also means that a million weaver’s children will be back at school. All I can say is thank you Anushka!"
