Whether with her bold outfits, witty comments, or personality, she is always making headlines and is an all-rounded entertainer. Uorfi Javed, who rose to prominence for her participation in Bigg Boss OTT, is now one of the most talked-about social influencers and entertainers. However, she had been away from the limelight for a while now, and it didn't go unnoticed by her fans. Now, she is back and has revealed the reason behind her absence.
Uorfi Javed took to her Instagram handle on May 15, 2025, and shared the reason behind her absence. The influencer is known for having an extremely active online presence, so her disappearance has been bugging her fans for a while now. Nonetheless, she is back and has revealed why she was away. Uorfi revealed that she was going through a phase, as her business didn't work, and there were other scenarios where she had to face rejection as well. She added that she was dealing with rejections and, hence, had been absent from her online platforms.
In the same post, she revealed that she was offered the opportunity to attend the Cannes Film Festival 2025 through Inde Wild. She added that she had prepared several outfits for the same, but her visa got rejected, which left her and her team disheartened. She further added how the missed opportunities had impacted her and stated:
"I haven't been uploading anything or being seen anywhere 'cause I was going through a phase. My business didn't work. I tried a bunch of other different things only to face rejections. I got an opportunity to go to Cannes through Inde Wild. (big big thank you to diipa khosla and kshitij kankaria) But as fate would have it, my visa got rejected. I was working on a few crazy outfit ideas. My team and I were very disheartened. I'm sure a lot of you guys must be going through rejections yourself, and I would love to know your stories."
Uorfi Javed, in the same post, then asked her fans to share their rejection stories to support and uplift each other. She added that rejections are not the end of the world but rather something that motivates one to work harder. The influencer acknowledged that one feels dejected after being rejected and should even process their feelings. However, in her eyes, every rejection was an opportunity. She was quoted as saying:
"Let's support and uplift each other. Rejections aren't the end of the world, they should only motivate you to work harder. Please share your rejection stories using #rejected and tag me. I will share only stories to motivate others. After rejections, feeling dejected and crying over it is normal. In fact, it is healthy. Even i do cry but what happens after? Every rejection is an opportunity if you look carefully. After so many rejections in life. I ain't stopping, and so shouldn't you."
Uorfi is often criticised for her statements and choices, but she continues to voice her opinions on various social issues. The social influencer is known for being an active advocate of body positivity and freedom of fashion choices.
