UP Realtor Kills Wife, Shoots Himself After Being Diagnosed With Cancer, 'Don't Want Money Wasted'

Dealing with life-threatening diseases like cancer isn't easy and often lead people to make impulsive decisions. Something similar happened in a chilling and tragic incident in Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad, where a man who was diagnosed with cancer made a disturbing decision. A real estate dealer, Kuldip Tyagi, who was diagnosed with cancer, killed his wife before shooting himself. The incident has left his family and neighbours in shock while the police are further investigating the case.

Kuldip Tyagi didn't want money to be wasted on his treatment 

Kuldip Tyagi had kept his cancer diagnosis hidden from his family and friends. But the realisation prompted him to take a shocking step. Police revealed that on a seemingly normal day at 11 am, Kuldip used his licensed revolver to shoot his wife, Anshu Tyagi, at his home in Radha Kunj Society of Raj Nagar Extension. The sudden sound of gunshots left his two sons, who were present in the room, stunned, and they rushed towards their parents and witnessed a devastating sight of their parents.

Kuldip's dead body was on the floor, while his wife's dead body lay on the bed. Despite that, a few people took them to the nearest Mariam hospital, but doctors declared that they were dead before they reached the hospital. The news about the case immediately went viral, and people in their neighbourhood and on the internet could not believe how a happy family was destroyed within a few days. 

However, Kuldip left a suicide note, which revealed his thought process behind the big step. He revealed that he knew the disease wouldn't be cured, so he didn't want to waste money on his treatment. At the same time, he killed his wife, Anshu, because they had vowed to stay together. He penned:

"I am suffering from cancer, and my family is unaware of it. I don't want money to be wasted on my treatment because survival is uncertain. I am taking my wife along because we vowed to stay together forever. This is my decision. No one, especially my children, is to blame."

UP Police have begun investigating the case

The local police arrived at the crime scene and took swift action by seizing the pistol and sending the bodies for autopsy. Also, senior police officer Poonam Mishra, who has been investigating the case, confirmed that they found a suicide note wherein Kuldip Tyagi admitted that he was suffering from cancer and had kept it a secret from his family. Also, he didn't want to waste his family's money and therefore shot his wife and then himself. Apart from the couple and their sons, Kuldip's father, a retired police officer, also lived with them and was devastated by the incident. Simultaneously, the friends and relatives of the couple revealed that Kulip and Anshu seemed to be a loving couple, and the real estate dealer showed no signs of any illness, so the incident left everyone shaken.
