Urmila Matondkar's relationship advice for young girls

Urmila Matondkar has yet to react to her divorce buzz with Mohsin Akhtar Mir, but ever since her divorce speculations caught traction, the internet has been filled with videos from her past interviews. Amid all of these, a video of Urmila has gone viral, wherein she is seen sharing her invaluable advice on relationships with all young girls. Urmila says:

"I want to tell all the young girls, you don’t need to have a boyfriend to think you are cool and happening. Just explore your lives, there is just so much out there. Just understand and today the world has become small because of the internet, because of social media. So much is available out there. So pehle apni personality ko nikharo aur samjho fir boyfriends and all. Aur kuch dikhta hi nahi hai, aur kuch samjhta hi nahi hai. Zindagi usse kahi bari hoti hai, but yeh samjhne taak bohot der ho gayi hoti hai."

In an interaction with Pinkvilla, Urmila added that these days, girls have the option and time to navigate their lives independently, whereas in the past, they did not. So young girls should make the most of it. Having boyfriends, husbands, and children is great, but one should understand themselves first and learn about what they want before they jump into a relationship. Urmila further added:

"Having boyfriend and eventually husband and children are great but pehle khud ko samjho, kya karna hai woh samjho. Who are you understand that first, what is it that you want. Earlier women didn't have the choice, today they do."
