Varun Dhawan's 1.5-Year-Old Daughter, Lara Is Diagnosed With DDH, 'Walk Tedhi Hojati Hai...'

Varun Dhawan has been dealing with a tough time as his 1.5-year-old daughter has been diagnosed with Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip (DDH). His revelation left his many fans in shock. For the unversed, Varun Dhawan and his wife, Natasha Dalal, welcomed their daughter in 2024. 

Varun Dhawan opened up about his daughter's diagnosis and the treatment 

Recently, in an interview with Yuvaa, Varun Dhawan talked about the most heart-wrenching phase of his life. No parent wants to see their child suffer, but things took a tough turn when their kids were diagnosed with an ailment. Varun Dhawan opened up about the deeply personal chapter of his life. He stated that his daughter has been diagnosed with DDH, in which the hip slips out of the hip socket. He added that due to which her walk got impacted. He said:

"My daughter was diagnosed with DDH, in which the hip slips out of the hip socket. Ek pair lamba chota hojaata hai jiski wajah se walk tedi hojaati hai".

Varun further revealed that in the West, they have good treatment at the time of birth. But India doesn't have such a facility. However, there are good doctors who are taking care of her. Varun added that she didn't have to go through surgery. However, there is a procedure through which they could put the hip back, but after this, she had to be in a spica cast, which means she had to be in a cast for 2.5 months, which is extremely difficult to think about. He was quoted as saying:

"You get Arthritis early, slip disc early. West main iska bahut accha treatement hota hai birth pe hi India main har jagah nahi hai itna. But yahan bhi bahut acche doctors hai jo iska care karte hain. She didn’t need to do a surgery. With one procedure they could put the hip back. But she had to be in a spica cast. That means she had to be in cast for 2.5 months. Which is extremely difficult. To put her in anaesthesia and then she woke up in a cast. Now the cast is out. I want to write a book on it."

Varun Dhawan shared the first glimpse of his daughter 

On June 16, 2024, Varun finally shared the first photo of his little princess on his IG handle. In the photo, we can see his baby girl holding his finger while she chilled in his arms. It was a cutesy moment shared between the father-daughter duo. Varun shared another photo holding the paw of his furbaby, who holds a big part of his heart. It was worth mentioning that Varun's pooch has been part of his sister's arrival announcement, and it was heartwarming.

Along with it, Varun penned a heart-melting note and shared how his father had taught him the best way to celebrate the day is by working for the family. He added that he could not be happier to be a girl daddy. He wrote:

"Happy Father’s Day. My father taught me that the best way to celebrate this day is by going out there and working for your family so Il be doing just that. Couldn’t be happier to be a girl dad."
