One of the sweetest pairs in the Tollywood industry is Varun Tej and Lavanya Tripathi. The happily married couple did movies like Mister, Antariksham 9000 KMPH, Kanche, Fidaa, Tholi Prema, and Gaddalakonda Ganesh, to name a few. It has been 2 years since the pair got married on November 1, 2023. There have been strong rumours doing the rounds that the couple is expecting their first baby together. Fans went berserk reading reports that Varun Tej and Lavanya reportedly will become parents.

Varun and Lavanya had a beautiful and dreamy wedding in Italy. It was on April 30, 2025, when reports swirled on the internet claiming that Lavanya was pregnant and that she and Varun would be embracing parenthood. However, a deep fact check on their Instagram account revealed that the couple shared no comments or posts over the alleged news and has not given any official confirmation related to the same. However, Varun and Lavanya's fans went berserk and on their latest Instagram picture dropped congratulatory messages. Although, the fans should not jump to any form of conclusion as the couple or anyone from the mega star's family has not shared any social message related to Lavanya's pregnancy.

Varun Tej's Italy wedding only had 100 people

Earlier, in an interview with Zoom, Varun shared that his cousins had more fun than him in his wedding, and all of them together had a splendid time together. When it comes to the wedding of any superstar, usually the guest list is in the thousands. However, that was not the case in Varun Tej's wedding, as only 100 people got invited. Varun shared that he took seven years to marry Lavanya, and that was the reason he got married abroad. He quoted:

"My cousins had more fun than me at the wedding, but our family is close-knit and we had a lovely time together. It took me seven years to get married and I wanted my family to have fun. Usually, 4000 to 10,000 people are invited to weddings in my family, but we invited only 100. It was important to me that my family had fun so I took them all abroad."

When Varun Tej's uncle, Chiranjeevi, was upset with Lavanya Tripathi

Varun never had revealed many details about his love story with Lavanya. If one believes what his uncle, Chiranjeevi, shared no one at their home knew about the couple being in love. It was during the event of Operation Valentine that Chiranjeevi made a joke of being angry at Varun for not telling him about his relationship with Lavanya. An upset Chiranjeevi shared:

"Varun tells me everything, but he hid this from me. He didn’t even give me a hint. He always says he’s inspired by me, wish he was inspired enough to tell me he’s dating Lavanya. He often tells me things he doesn’t tell his father too. So, I’m still angry with him."

On the work front, Varun Tej was last seen in the movie, Matka. His next offering would be #VT16, which would reportedly be his 16th film. The movie will be an Indian-Korean horror comedy movie which has been directed by Merlapaka Gandhi. The announcement of the movie was made in 2022, and the shooting reportedly started off in the month of March, 2025.
