Varun Dhawan Watches Indo-Pak Match With Daughter, Lara, Netizens Say, 'Start Them Young'

Varun Dhawan is one of the most loved actors in the younger generation of Bollywood. He has made a way into people's hearts with his versatile acting, impeccable comic timings and fun nature. Apart from entertaining the audiences with his films, Varun is admired by his fans for being an 'Ideal family man'. For those unaware, Varun welcomed a daughter in 2024. He has kept her out of the media's gaze but often shares a little update or adorable picture with his princess for his fans. Recently, the actor, a passionate cricket lover, showcased how he is bonding with his daughter over the sport.

Varun Dhawan watches the India vs Pakistan match with his daughter, Lara 

India and Pakistan are playing a highly-awaited cricket match for Dubai's ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Every cricket fan is hooked on the match, and one of them is Varun Dhawan. The actor, who often expresses his love for the sport, took to his Instagram handle a while ago and shared a picture of him watching the match. However, the limelight was stolen by his little princess, Lara, who sat on her father's lap while watching TV with him, accompanied by their pet dog, Joey.

Varun Dhawan kept his look casual in a white t-shirt and blue jeans as he watched the match at home. He was staring intently at the screen. Lara wore a soft pink top and white trousers and the actor covered her face with a yellow heart emoji, to avoid revealing her identity. Through the caption, Varun revealed how his little one is following her footsteps in watching cricket from a young age. Sharing a fun memory, he wrote:

 "India vs Pakistan. I used to watch with my dad. Now she's cheering for Team India with me."

Netizen gush over the 'father-daughter' bond

When Varun Dhawan shared a picture of him watching the match, fans took a while to notice Lara. But, they soon began to praise the 'father-daughter' duo. One fan wrote, "Awwwie teach her young". Another user wrote, "Start them young.' A fan penned, "This is so piyaara."

Varun married his longtime girlfriend, Natasha Dalal, in 2021, and the couple welcomed their firstborn, a daughter, Lara, in June 2024. Still, they did not officially announced their daughter's name after her birth for months. However, when Varun appeared on a special episode of Amitabh Bachchan's Kaun Banega Crorepati, he revealed his daughter's name during a conversation that surprised his fans. Explaining his bond with her, Varun said:

"We named her Lara. I'm still learning to connect with her; as you said, everything changes when a baby comes home."

Varun Dhawan had a busy year in 2024. He played cameos in Stree 2 and Munjya as his werewolf character, 'Bhediya'. At the same time, he was seen in Raj and DK's Citadel: Honey Bunny, co-starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu. The actor was last seen in Atlee's Baby John, co-starring Keerthy Suresh and Wamiqa Gabbi. Varun has an interesting lineup of films ahead, including Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, Border 2, and No Entry 2.
