Navratri is one of the most auspicious festivals of India and it is celebrated with a lot of pomp and show. Just like Holi and Diwali, navratri also holds huge significance in Hinduism. During the nine-day-long celebration, we welcome Goddess Durga into our homes and worship her. We pray for happiness and prosperity in our homes and eagerly wait to get the fruit out of our devotion.
However, sometimes we make some minute mistakes that often block the passage of positivity into our homes, and these also include Vastu-related issues. Vastu helps in balancing the five elements, namely space, air, fire, water, and earth, which helps in filling our homes with peace and prosperity. So, here we bring you some special Vastu tips to follow this Navratri that will help you seek the blessings of Maa Durga.

Swastik is a holy symbol which holds much importance in the Hindu culture. With that said, making a Swastik on the main door of your house can be auspicious during this Navratri. According to Vastu, it not only brings luck and prosperity into the house, but also keeps all the negativity and diseases at bay. So, to keep your family happy and healthy, prepare a Swastik with red or yellow colour along with some rice.
According to Vastu, it is believed that hanging mango leaves at the main door of your house can prevent the entry of negative energies. So, this Navratri, take some fresh mango leaves and tie them together with a red thread. Once done, tie the thread to both the ends of the main door of your house. Moreover, you can also include mango leaves during puja as it is considered auspicious.

One should perform aarti twice a day during the nine days of Navratri. However, doing aarti by burning seven camphors during the sunset in Navratri is believed to be auspicious as per Vastu. Camphor pleases Goddess Durga, which results in the destruction of all the negative energies in the house. Moreover, it is also said that this ritual helps to attract prosperity and Goddess Lakshmi also arrives in the house.

As per astrology, tulsi is considered to be a holy plant. Planting tulsi in your home is a great way to prevent the entry of negative energies. In addition to that, it also helps in the destruction of many health problems and ailments in your house. So, plant a tulsi in the north-east direction of your house to attract positivity in this Navratri. Moreover, lighting a diya next to the plant every evening can be extra beneficial.
Akhand Jyot translates to infinite light in English. As per Vastu, akhand jyot is considered an indispensable part of Navratri puja. So, every devotee lights it on the first day of the Navratri festivities and ensures to add oil or ghee to it every day. The auspicious phenomena is said to bring good fortune and abundance into our homes. However, one should keep this in mind that the akhand jyot should never be placed directly on the ground.
Apart from the akhand jyot, we should also keep a pot full of clean water and some flowers in our temple on the first day of the Navratri. The pot should be carefully placed in the temple throughout the festivities. And on the last day of Navratri, i.e., Navami, we should sprinkle this sacred water all over our house to ward off negative energies. Moreover, this process also helps in improving our financial status and bringing prosperity into our homes.
Goddess Durga loves red colour, so offering her red flowers during puja is considered extremely beneficial. So, make sure to pluck red flowers like rose, hibiscus, lotus etc, every day and offer it to the Goddess. Moreover, you should cook fresh food, without onion or garlic for bhog during Navratri. Once it is offered to the Goddess, we should serve it to every member of the house. This will help to remove any Vastu dosha from your home.
