Veer Pahariya Left Emotional As AB Devayya's Family Gets Back Mahavir Chakra, Says, 'This Is Why...'

Veer Pahariya made his acting debut with Sky Force, alongside Akshay Kumar and Sara Ali Khan. While the movie got mixed reviews from the audience, it seemed to have made a bigger impact on the lives of AB Devayya's family, the Air Force officer whose role was essayed by Veer in the film. Now, AB Devayya's daughter thanked Veer and the Sky Force team, and it left the actor emotional. 

Veer Pahariya was overwhelmed by AB Devayya's family getting back the Mahavir Chakra

Veer Pahariya recently took to his Instagram handle and shared a note on his Instagram stories. The note expressed his gratitude and emotion for the loving words shared by the family of AB Devayya. The actor shared that he chose to become an actor so he could spread love and make a difference, just like the film and the role he chose for his debut did for the Devayya family. He was quoted as saying:

"This is why I chose to be an actor… to spread love, make a difference, and leave a little bit of myself behind in every story."

AB Devayya's daughter thanked Veer Pahariya and Akshay Kumar

Squadron Leader AB Devayya's family has expressed their gratitude and thanked the Sky Force actors, Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya, months after the film was released. AB Devayya's daughter took to her Instagram handle and shared an emotional post. She revealed that the Mahavir Chakra, which was stolen from them, had now returned back home. She revealed how Akshay and Veer had taken it upon themselves to help the family. She was quoted as saying:

"When Veer came home to meet us and spend time with our family while he was filming Sky Force, he wanted to hear our story. That's when he learnt about what had happened. He and Akshay sir took it upon themselves to help us. And today, because of both of them, my mother is holding the Mahavir Chakra once again."

On the same note, AB Devayya's daughter mentioned how her mother was extremely emotional. She added that she finally felt complete and that now the final honour of her husband had returned home. She concluded the post by once again thanking Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya for helping them get back the precious award. Her note read:

"She keeps saying she finally feels complete. After all these years, there's peace in her heart… Thank you Akshay sir. Thank you, Veer. You have given our family a moment we will always treasure."

For the unversed, Squadron Leader AB Devayya was a decorated Air Force officer and the pride of the country. He was also the only Indian Air Force officer to be posthumously awarded the Mahavir Chakra. The brave soldier received the medal for his bravery in the 1965 Indo-Pak War. However, the medal was stolen from the family's home a few years ago. Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya got to know about the incident when they were shooting for their film, Sky Force, which was based on India's first airstrike at the Sargodha airbase of Pakistan in the Indo-Pakistani air war of 1965.
