Vicky Jain entered the BB17 house with his actress-wife, Ankita Lokhande, in October 2023. The duo, who was often hailed as the perfect couple on Instagram, shocked their fans with their dynamics on the show. In their journey of over 100 days on Bigg Boss 17, Vicky and Ankita had ugly fights and even hinted at their divorce. Moreover, Vicky's mom, Ranjana Jain also levied some accusations on her daughter-in-law and claimed that the latter ruined their family's reputation on the show.
In a recent interview with the ETimes, Vicky Jain was asked about the various tags that were given to him for his stint on Bigg Boss 17. He also reacted to being called a red flag husband and emotionally unavailable partner and said that he was carried away in the game and lost the balance between his personal life and game strategy. He was heard saying:
"Mujhe aisa lagta hai humko waha se dekhna padega... main Bigg Boss me gaya bas ek naam ke sath. People were quite amazed after meeting me and they loved me. Bahut saari cheezein chal rahi thi wha jaane ke baad. Mujhe pta that ki ye ek project hai, ye humari life nahi hai. Life me hume pta hota hai ki hume apna time kaise baantna hai. To mera focus sirf project pe that, qki mai jo karta usi basis par mai waha hota. To kahi na kahi, wo balance mai nahi bana paya."

Speaking along the same lines, Vicky shared that he failed to understand Ankita's emotional needs while being on the show. He stated that he should have tried to understand his wife's point of view, instead of imposing his views on her. However, Vicky mentioned that now he knows that understanding your partner's needs is the key aspect to make a relationship work and added:
"Ankita ki emotional needs ko mai samay se waha nahi pehchan paya. Aur mai humesha apne aap ko samjhane me laga raha, jo mujhe realise hua ki rishte me samjhane ki jagah samajhne ki jarurat hoti hai. Shayad mai samjhta cheezon ko to shayad mai kuchh aur kar raha hota. Kyunki wo ek point of view ka show that, you want to show yourself. Uss zone me shayad chala gaya tha."
However, Vicky Jain mentioned that during the press conference inside the BB17 house, when the media showed him the mirror, he immediately realised his mistake. Further, Vicky was asked if he regretted how his image as an ideal husband was ruined after participating in the show. To this, Vicky shared how he and Ankita even hinted at parting ways with each other on the show and revealed that they never meant it. He further mentioned that he and Ankita are sure about each other, so they don't think twice before saying things.

Vicky Jain was also asked about his mom's accusations on Ankita and how the latter slammed his wife on the show. To this, Vicky shared that while they were on the show, their family members didn't know about the behind-the-scenes of their fights, so his mom reacted the way she did. However, Vicky mentioned that he and Ankita never thought about things in that manner while being on the show and added:
"Emotions apni jagah hain, shabd apni jagah. Jab aap apno ko takleef me dekhte hain aur unse baat bhi nahi kar paate hain, to uski worry me jo baate kahi jati hai, unki feelings sahi hoti hai. But jaise hi hum wapis aa gaye, ghar walon ko samjhaya ki wahan kya situation hoti hai. Kabhi humne ghar pe glass nahi uthaya, wahan khana banate hain. Whana itni cheezein chal rahi hoti hai ki in sab baato ko sochne ka time hi nahi hota. Wha to ye cheez kab shuru hui, kab khatam hui pta ni chalta."
Further, Vicky reacted to the accusation that he allegedly slapped Ankita in anger on BB17. However, he shared that nothing of that sort happened, and he himself watched the clip. Vicky also reflected on how Ankita often talked about Sushant Singh Rajput on the show and shared that the latter had a beautiful bond with the late actor. He further added that Ankita never wanted to gain sympathy from Sushant's name and that she just talked about him without any pretence.
