Victoria Beckham Left Son, Brooklyn's Bride, Nicola Peltz In Tears After 'Ruining' Their First Dance

Things have been tense in the Beckham family since Brooklyn's wedding back in 2022. According to several reports, Brooklyn's relationship with his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, has hit a rough patch. Now, in a conversation with the PEOPLE, a source close to the Peltz family has opened up about the same.

Revelations about the Beckham family being in rough waters with each other came days after Brooklyn posted a cryptic message on Instagram stating that he'd 'always choose' his wife. The source revealed that the tension between the couple took a turn after Victoria allegedly 'ruined' Brooklyn and his wife, Nicola Peltz's first dance during their Palm Beach wedding back in 2022. According to the report, the couple had been planning the special moment, but it was hijacked by the actress, leaving the bride in tears. The source could be quoted as saying:

"Marc Anthony, who is a friend of the Beckhams, offered to perform as a gift at the wedding. Before the song began, Marc Anthony asked Brooklyn to come to the stage, and then announced, 'The most beautiful woman in the room tonight, come on up...Victoria Beckham!'"

In the same report, the source claimed that the new bride, Nicola Peltz was absolutely heartbroken. She felt that Victoria had ruined one of the most important moments of her life and could not understand why. While representatives for Victoria, David and Anthony remained unavailable for comment, a second insider further revealed that the announcement left the entire room in shock. The source was quoted as saying:

"It was such a jaw-dropping moment that it left the whole room in absolute shock — you could hear a pin drop."

The source further revealed that the guests were even more shocked when Victoria Beckham started slow dancing with her son, Brooklyn. The source called it inappropriate and added that everyone saw Nicola run away from the room in tears. The source was quoted as saying:

"It wasn't appropriate. Nicola ran from the room crying. Nicola felt like Victoria did this on purpose when she knew it was a pre-planned romantic dance meant for Brooklyn and Nicola. What she couldn't understand was why."

Another insider shared with the publication that the matters have been rough between Victoria, David, Brooklyn and Nicola since the dance debacle. They revealed that there has been a pattern of ongoing rift, and despite their best efforts, whenever Brooklyn and Nicola try to have a happy moment, it comes crashing down. The insider added that Brooklyn feels torn between his wife and his parents. However, he has always shared a complicated relationship with his dad. A lot of their relationship has felt like 'business'.

Brooklyn and Nicola are now living in Los Angeles, and while the couple finally found support from the Peltz family, things have been complicated between Brooklyn and his parents. Especially after the couple was absent from David's early 50th birthday celebrations in March, despite being invited. However, their relationship is not beyond repair, as earlier PEOPLE had reported that Victoria and David love their son, but are just extremely hurt and disappointed that he is now playing no part in family life.
