Moreover, the actress has proven her mettle in acting by working in blockbuster films like The Dirty Picture, Kahaani, Neeyat, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Hamari Adhuri Kahani, Begum Jaan, Jalsa, Parineeta, Tumhari Sulu and many more. Apart from being an amazing actress, Vidya is a doting wife to her husband, Siddharth Roy Kapur. For the unversed, the lovebirds tied the knot in 2012 in an intimate wedding ceremony.
Vidya Balan has been one such actress who never chased a size-zero figure. The gorgeousness has proudly embraced her body type and she never shies away from flaunting her beautiful physique. And now, in a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Vidya opened up about body positivity. Talking about the same, the actress revealed how she deals with the pressure of maintaining a certain body type. Vidya shared that over time, she embraced her body type and people even started to call her 'sexy' after she did the film, The Dirty Picture. Elaborating more on it, Vidya said:

"It happened over time. I was called sexy after I did The Dirty Picture. And the huge commercial success got me so much love. It even got me a National Award. I was being called the female hero and all that."

In the same conversation, Vidya shared that before playing the character 'Silk', she was never called sexy. However, after that film, she met with a new version of herself. The actress also mentioned that it was during the same time when she met her now-husband, Siddharth, who made her feel good about herself. Mentioning how she started accepting herself and her body type because of various factors, Vidya said:
"The moment you make it about me, it makes me a little uncomfortable. So I had just done it without thinking. That translated to me being sexy. And I hadn't been called sexy until then. Suddently, there was a new me. I had also met Siddharth at that time. He made me feel great. I started accepting my body because of a combination of factors."
Vidya also mentioned that the journey of accepting her body type has been full of ups and downs. Talking about the same, the gorgeousness mentioned that after she accepted herself, she was scared that she would be found out. Calling it imposter syndrome, Vidya shared that she has slowly accepted herself. In her words:
"The journey had its ups and downs. What happens is that when acceptance comes and you are new to it, you get scared that you will be found out. It's a kind of imposter syndrome. I have gotten over that, and I am slowly accepting myself the way I am."

Earlier, in an interview with Filmfare, Vidya opened up about her married life with Siddharth Roy Kapur. Talking about the same, the actress revealed how her life changed after getting married to Siddharth. Calling it the best decision of her life, Vidya said Siddharth brought a different change in her life, which she has accepted with open arms.
