Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna are two such stars in the film industry, who keep hitting the headlines for rumours and reports about their relationship and more. However, the two of them have never officially confirmed their dating rumours. But now it seems that the time has come for them to affirm the ongoing buzz, as Vijay gave an interesting answer when asked about his relationship status. Ahead of that, Rashmika had openly called him 'darling'. For the unversed, the two stars have worked together in films, including Geetha Govindam (2018) and Dear Comrade (2019).
In a recent interview with Galatta Plus, Vijay Deverakonda was asked about his dating rumours with Rashmika Mandanna. However, when he resisted answering it directly, he was further quizzed about his relationship status. To which he gave a hilarious answer and mentioned being in a relationship with his parents and brother. The actor said:
“Yes, with my parents, with my brother, with you, and we all are in a relationship.”

Meanwhile, Rashmika penned a lovely note for Vijay Deverakonda as he is currently gearing up for his upcoming movie, The Family Star, which also stars Mrunal Thakur. The film will hit the theatres on April 5, 2024. Thus, to cheer for Vijay’s film, Rashmika took to her X handle and extended her warm wishes to her rumoured boyfriend. She also called him 'darling'. Her note can be read as:
“I wish my darlings @ParasuramPetla and @TheDeverakonda the bestestestestttt for #FamilyStar .. April 5th it isssss! So exciteddddd! You guys definitely have a winner on hand! party kavaliiiii! @mrunal0801 all the best my love!"
As per multiple reports, it was believed that Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna were set to get engaged in February 2024. However, the duo never admitted or denied such speculations until when the Liger actor clarified that he was neither getting engaged nor getting married in the same year. In an interview with Lifestyle Asia, Vijay revealed how he gets to hear such news every year, but all these are just rumours and nothing else. In his words:
“I’m not getting engaged or married in February. It feels like the press just wants to get me married every two years. I hear this rumour every year. They’re just walking around waiting to catch me and get me married.”

Earlier, one of Rashmika Mandanna's fan clubs took to their X handle and mentioned that the actress' husband should be like VD. Although the complete form of VD here meant 'Very Daring' so that he could always protect her, Vijay Deverakonda is also widely known with the same initials. The fan added, “What qualities should one have to become Rashmika Mandanna’s husband? She is National Crush of India. Her husband must be special. Her husband should be like VD. I mean Very Daring, who can protect her. We call her a queen then her husband should also be like a king.” Soon, Rashmika reacted to the post and gave a surprising comment, which came as a kind of confirmation of the ongoing speculations. She penned:
“That’s very true.”
