At a recent event in Tamil Nadu, the actor said that he would want to get married and become a father. During the promotions of his upcoming film, Family Star with Mrunal Thakur, Vijay was asked about his plans to get married any time soon, and he said:
“I also want to get married and become a father.”

Not only this, Vijay Deverakonda even confirmed that he will have a love marriage, further adding fuel to his engagement rumours with Rashmika. However, being a doting son, the actor added that he will tie the knot with his ladylove only when his parents approve of her. But Vijay didn't reveal the name of his future partner.
It was back in September 2023, when Rashmika Mandanna dropped a cute photo as she was decked up in a pretty saree. In the photo, Rashmika could be seen flashing her million-dollar smile as she posed on the terrace. However, soon after that, netizens dug out a post of Vijay, wherein he could be seen posing against a similar background. However, a source close to the couple sat for a conversation with the Hindustan Times and revealed that they do not want to be open about their relationship. The insider also added that Vijay and Rashmika are very private people and are not getting engaged anytime soon. Moreover, both Vijay and Rashmika are living together and are so focused on their work that thinking about an engagement or wedding isn't a priority for them.

For the unversed, previous reports suggested that both families had agreed to the duo's marriage and that their engagement was to be held in the second week of February 2024.
