Vijay Deverakonda Kisses Fiancee, Rashmika Mandanna At Success Party Of The Film, 'The Girlfriend'

Currently, Rashmika Mandanna has been grabbing a lot of attention for her latest film, The Girlfriend. Since the past few days, both fans and critics have been praising her powerful performance in the film. Well, recently, the cast of the film came together for a success party, during which Rashmika's rumoured fiance, Vijay Deverakonda made headlines by appreciating his girl with a small and adorable kiss.

Last night, on November 12, 2025, the cast and crew of The Girlfriend came together to celebrate the success of the film. Interestingly, even Vijay Deverakonda was invited to the party. But what has been grabbing attention is a sweet gesture that Vijay did for Rashmika Mandanna. Recently, a clip went viral on social media, which showed Vijay giving a hi-fi to his rumoured fiancee and then kissing the back of her hand.

Vijay Deverakonda appreciated Rashmika Mandanna in an emotional speech

In another video that is going viral from the same success party, Vijay was seen appreciating Rashmika’s journey so far. During his speech, Vijay called his lady love as ‘Rashi’ and revealed that he is very proud of her performance in the film, The Girlfriend. He further continued to appreciate the film and called it one of the best films he has seen in recent times. He was quoted as saying:

"Rashi, I wanted to say that I am so proud that you are standing here with a film that may give strength to others who might need it. Even while making this film, there were so many moments of highs and lows you had, and this is not just cinema, this is a purpose. “I watched the movie today. It made me emotional. I had to hold back tears at many places. I felt heavy and tight inside at very close moments. At times, I felt disoriented and couldn't even sit still, even when I was moving. This is one of the best films I've seen in recent times."

Vijay Deverakonda, then continued to recall the journey of Rashmika Mandanna. In his emotional speech, he compared her to the character of ‘Bhumi Devi’. Vijay further recalled Rashmika’s fun and happy nature of sets and explained that she has finally reached a point in her career, where she can choose strong scripts like The Girlfriend. In his words:

"I have been watching Rashmika since the time of the film Geetha Govindam. She is exactly like Bhuma Devi. There is an unknown innocence in her, Rashmika never thinks about herself even once. She wanted everyone to be happy on the set. She still does. Her journey that started from there has now reached the point where she can choose strong scripts for herself like The Girlfriend. I don't know who will watch it, but I want to tell such stories to those who do. Rashi... I am so proud to watch your journey."

Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda’s rumoured engagement

In October 2025, multiple reports revealed that Rashmika and Vijay held an intimate engagement ceremony. While it was just a rumour in the beginning, it was soon confirmed by Vijay's team. Later, Rashmika was seen wearing an engagement ring in all her interviews. In one of the recent interviews, when Rashmika Mandanna was asked about her ring and engagement rumours with Vijay, the actress had shared that she is 'enjoying it'. However, neither Rashmika nor Vijay has confirmed their engagement.
