Popular actor, Vindu Dara Singh made his acting debut with the Hindi film, Karan, in 1994. However, despite trying hard in the Hindi film industry, he failed to make a career. But Vindu's role as 'Hanuman' in the TV show, Jai Veer Hanuman and Ramanand Sagar's Ramayana, helped him become a household name. Apart from this, Vindu was also allegedly part of many controversies, including betting on cricket matches and being involved in sex scandals with foreign girls.
The wrestler-turned-actor, Vindu Dara Singh was born on May 6, 1964, in Mumbai to Dara Singh and his wife, Surjit Kaur Randhawa. Following his debut film, Karan, Vindu appeared in the film, Rab Diyan Rakkha, which was directed by his father, Dara Singh. Then he also worked in some Bollywood films, including Garv, Maine Pyar Kiya and Partner.

However, Vindu's film career was short-lived and didn't get much recognition after doing many supporting roles. So he entered TV and got extreme recognition for his character of 'Hanuman' on the small screen. Once in a candid chat with the ABP news, Vindu shared that he got the inspiration to play 'Hanuman' from his father, Dara Singh.
In another interview with the ETimes, Vindu was once asked about the ongoing nepotism in the Hindi film industry. To this, he had shared that only talent and hard work can survive in the film industry. In the same conversation, he also shared how his father, Dara Singh always inspired him to work hard and not have any illusions in life. In his words:
"Coming from Bollywood's illustrious families doesn't give anyone the passport to success. You can't survive in the film world if you are not talented. Favouritism or preferential treatment happens in every field. If you have talent no one can stop you from becoming a top star. You can't fool people. Moreover, you will easily get identified for being a non-performer. My dad always told me to not have illusions. Rather, he guided me to work hard if I wanted to be known in the film circles. And this is what I tell Fateh so that he remains focussed and dedicated."

Coming to Vindu's personal life, the actor married twice. Initially, he was married to Tabu's elder sister, Farah Naaz. For the unversed, it was during the 1990s when Vindu met Tabu's sister and iconic actress, Farah Naaz for the first time on the sets of a movie. Instantly, they felt a connection and started dating. After a period of romance, Vindu and Farah tied the knot in 1996. Within a year into their marriage, in 1997, the madly-in-love couple Vindu and Farah were blessed with a baby boy, whom they named Fateh. However, if reports are to be believed, Farah was already pregnant with his child, which was the reason behind their marriage. In an interview with a leading daily, Vindoo mentioned that Farha needed him and that was the reason he married her. In his words:
"Actually, our egos are responsible for our innumerable fights. Farha is an insomniac, she can’t sleep and I hate leaving her alone. How long can we go on like this? We desperately felt the need to get married and be with each other round the clock.”

Just like his film career, Vindu's first marriage, too, didn't last long. Unfortunately, he got separated from Farah after 6 years. After their separation, Vindu shared that it was his ego which prevented him from reconciling with Farah. He shared that after their fight, when Farah left the home with their son, he waited for her till the next day. However, she didn't return. Later, he got the news that Farah not only started working in movies but also got involved with a married man. Thus, Vindu showed no sign of remorse and moved on in his life. He had said:
“Life is too short. Don’t take it too seriously, enjoy it. With Farha, I had become a home bird, now I am a free bird. I had told Farha earlier, that if she left me for more than 15 days, then I would look around. It’s been nearly six months, so I have the license.”
Then, Vindu's heart fell on model-turned-entrepreneur, Dina Umarova. Soon, there were reports rife in the media that the couple was madly in love with each other, and finally, in 2005, Vindu tied the knot for the second time with Dina. Later, in 2009, Vindu and Dina were blessed with a daughter, Amelia Randhawa.
Coming to Vindu Dara Singh's long list of controversies, the actor was allegedly involved in a series of matters in his entire lifetime. Starting with his debut film, Karan, the film's poster created a stir in the media then due to some promotional purposes. Afterwards, when he became the title holder of Salman Khan hosted controversial reality show, Bigg Boss 3, many questions were once again asked about his win. According to reports, Bollywood star, Akshay Kumar had helped him win the show.
Next, Vindu's name was also linked to betting and IPL match-fixing in 2013. The list doesn't end here, as Vindu was also allegedly involved in an international sex racket. As per reports, Vindu's name was linked with the sex scandal when he was seen with some girls from Kazakhstan. It was said that Vindu provided high-profiled escorts to cricketers to lure them against Rs. 1 lakhs payment. Due to this, he was also arrested. However, he was later released.
