While the player retired long ago, he is still quite popular among cricket lovers who are still in awe of his cricketing spell. However, the player recently caused a stir among his fans when a viral video surfaced online showing Vinod struggling to walk and even stand.
After the video went viral, Vinod Kambli's close friends and former first-class umpire, Marcus reached out to him. In a conversation with Hindustan Times, Marcus revealed that Vinod Kambli is completely fine. In the cricketer's words:
“I am fine, don’t believe social media.”

Marcus added that when he met Kambli, he was in a jolly mood. He sure does have some physical ailments that come with age, but other than that, he is fit and fine. He is recovering and is fed well. The video that is currently going viral on social media is an old clip, and now Kambli no longer has a belly fat and is healthy. Marcus further added:
"Kambli was in a jolly mood when we met him. He is recovering well and is in much better condition. The video being circulated is outdated. He doesn’t have belly fat and eat his food well. The entire family was present and enjoying each other’s company. His son, Cristiano, also a left-hand batter like his father, was taking batting tips from his father."
A recent video of Vinod Kambli, struggling to walk, has caused a stir on the internet. The former cricketer, visibly weak, was assisted by two men who helped him to a chair. The video, which has touched the hearts of cricket fanatics worldwide, prompted an immediate response from fans who tagged BCCI and Sachin Tendulkar, urging them to assist Kambli. Media reports suggest that the 52-year-old Kambli may be dealing with physical ailments or substance-related issues, highlighting the urgency of the situation.

Vinod Kambli's personal life is a journey of love and compassion. He married Andrea Hewitt in a Christian ceremony at St Peter's Church in 2014. The couple, who had been dating for a couple of years, had already formalised their relationship with a court marriage years before their Catholic wedding.
