Former Indian cricketer, Vinod Kambli has been admitted to a hospital after his health condition deteriorated during the weekend. A few months ago, Vinod Kambli struggling to even walk video had left his fans in shock, and they all were wondering what happened to their favourite sports star.
According to a news agency, IANS, Vinod Kambli, who had been a teammate of Sachin Tendulkar, was hospitalised at the Akriti Hospital in Thane, Mumbai, on December 21, 2024. While his condition is stable, he remains a cricketer. A picture of Vinod Kambli lying on the hospital bed has been doing rounds on the internet. He looked a lot tensed as doctor was examining him.
After a lot of speculation about Vinod Kambli's health over the past few months, the former cricketer shared details of the same in an interview with Vicky Lalwani on his YouTube channel. He revealed that he was suffering from a urine infection, but his family stood with him. Vinod Kambli shared that his wife takes care of him and took him to three different hospitals. He said:
"I am better now. My wife takes care of me a lot. She took me to 3 different hospitals and told me 'You have to get fit'. Ajay Jadeja also came to visit me. It felt nice. I was suffering from a urine problem. It was just flowing. My son, Jesus Cristiano, picked me up and brought me back to my feet. My daughter, who is 10 years old, and my wife came to help me. This happened one month ago. My head started spinning; I collapsed and fell down. The doctor told me to get admitted."
On December 3, 2024, Sachin Tendulkar and Vinod Kambli attended an event with several other dignitaries. A video from the event has made it online, wherein we can see Sachin greeting Vinod Kambli, who was busy interacting with someone else. At first, Vinod found it hard to recognise him, but soon, he realised and held Sachin's hand firmly.
Vinod urged Sachin to sit beside him, but the latter wanted to leave. Soon, another acquaintance came to Sachin's rescue and asked Vinod Kambli to leave his hand. The video seemed a bit off, as Vinod Kambli looked upset after the legendary cricketer left.

A few months ago, Vinod Kambli's video made rounds on the internet, showing him unable to walk. In the video, a visibly weak former cricketer was assisted by two men who helped him sit on a chair. The video left the cricketer's fans in disbelief. They started expressing their disbelief on social media and urged BCCI and Sachin Tendulkar to help Vinod Kambli.
After the video had left the internet berserk, Vinod Kambli's close friend and former first-class umpire, Marcus, connected with him, and the cricketer asked him not to believe social media.
