Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma have reached their favourite spiritual destination, Vrindavan, a day after the cricketer announced his retirement from Test cricket. The duo was seen visiting the Kelly Kunj Ashram, where they shared some deep and spiritual conversations with Shri Premanand Govind Sharan Ji Maharaj. The couple sought the revered saint's blessings and engaged in some heart-to-heart chat.
It was on May 13, 2025, when a video surfaced online and captured the two stars travelling by a local cab. Soon after, they visited the spiritual guru with whom they shared a long-standing connection. Their interaction was uploaded to Kelly Kunj Ashram's YouTube channel. During the conversation, Anushka Sharma was heard asking Shri Premanand Govind Sharan Ji Maharaj if chanting would help them achieve what they sought. She said, "Kya naam jap se ho jayega?" Maharaj responded by stating that it was completely attainable. He added that from his personal experience, he had come to Bhakti Yoga after experiencing Sankhya Yoga, Ashtang Yoga and Karma Yoga. He was quoted as saying:
"Completely… I'm sharing this from my life experience. I have come to Bhakti Yoga after experiencing Sankhya Yoga, Ashtang Yoga, and Karma Yoga."
In the same conversation, Shri Premanand Govind Sharan Ji Maharaj shared that it was true that an increase in one's glory and fame is not considered to be the almighty's blessing. However, his grace is when there is a change in the thinking within that person. He further revealed that the lord is the one who shows his devotees the way to the ultimate peace. He was quoted as saying:
"It's true that an increase in one’s glory and fame is not considered to be the grace of God. God’s grace is when there is a change in thinking within a person… God shows us the path of ultimate peace. Shri Krishna said in the Gita that my devotee is never destroyed. Chant God’s name with joy."
This marked Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma's second visit to Vrindavan. The actress wore a white suit-set with black print on it, while Virat wore a sage green shirt paired with olive green pants. The couple had earlier visited the spiritual city in January 2025.
