Anushka and her husband, Virat Kohli, were previously blessed with a baby girl, Vamika Sharma Kohli, and are reportedly expecting their second child. However, the duo has refrained from reacting to the ongoing speculations. But it looks like Virat and Anushka are finding it difficult to hide the latter's pregnancy news from people.
Industrialist, Harsh Goenka recently shared a cryptic tweet on his X handle that caused a stir on social media. He suggested that cricketer, Virat Kohli and his actress-wife, Anushka Sharma, are expecting their second child soon. In his post, the industrialist talked about the baby's potential career path and shared that it will either join cricket or Bollywood, just like his parents. Goenka's tweet can be read as:
"A new baby is to be born in the next few days! Hope the baby takes India to great heights like the greatest cricketing father. Or will it follow the mother and be a film star? #MadeInIndia #ToBeBornInLondon."

Rumours have been rife that Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma are expecting their second child, and they are currently in London. For the unversed, Virat withdrew from the first two matches of the Test Series against England due to some personal reasons. Later, the BCCI shared a detailed statement and urged fans and media not to slam Kohli for his decision. The board further mentioned that Virat had a brief discussion with captain, Rohit Sharma and the team management before making the final decision.
On February 3, 2024, AB de Villiers shared a YouTube video and talked about Virat Kohli's absence from the Test Series, adding that everything was alright at the Indian cricketer's personal front. AB de Villiers further lauded Virat for prioritising his family and shared that the former India captain and his wife, Anushka Sharma were expecting their second child. He had said:
"Let me just see what he said. I just want to at least give you (fans) a little bit of love. So I wrote to him 'Been wanting to check in with you for a while now, biscuits. How are you?'. He said 'Just need to be with my family right now. I am doing well.'. Yes, his second child is on the way. Yes, it's family time and things are important to him. If you are not true and genuine to yourself, you lose track of what you are here for. I think most people's priority is family. You can't judge Virat for that."

Earlier, journalist, Abhishek Tripathi took to his Twitter handle and shared a tweet wherein he talked about Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli. He shared that AB de Villiers was right when he shared that Virat has taken a break from his professional front to be with his family. The post further mentioned that Anushka and her husband jetted off abroad as the actress was facing some health problems. Abhishek added:
"Four things. A: What de Villiers said was right. Two: There are some problems due to which Virat decided to consult a doctor abroad and stay with the family. Third: He has decided to spend this time with his family after taking permission from BCCI. Fourth: We should wish them a happy future."
