Vishal Dadlani quits as a judge from 'Indian Idol' after six years. He took to his Instagram and beautifully penned a note about the same.

Music Composer, Vishal Dadlani Quits 'Indian Idol' After Six Years, Pens, 'I Hope The Show Will...'

Famous music composer, Vishal Dadlani quits the singing reality show, Indian Idol. He has been a judge on the show for the past six years. With the end of the 15th season of the show, Vishal too revealed that he would no longer be seen in the next season of the singing reality show.

Vishal Dadlani has been judging Indian Idol from Season 10 to Season 15. He was also a judge on Indian Idol Junior Season 1 and 2. But, after six years, the music composer decided to quit the show and focus on making music. Taking to his Instagram handle, Vishal shared a Reel featuring co-judges, Shreya Ghoshal and Badshah. Along with the Reel, he penned: 

"That's all from me, folks! Six straight seasons later, tonight is my last episode as a judge on Indian Idol. I hope the show will miss me as much as I'll miss it. Thanks Shreya, Badshah, Adi, Aradhana, Chitra, Anand ji, Sonal, Pratibha, Sahil, Saloni, Muskaan, Abisha, the entire production crew, Vilas, Pakya, Kaushik (Pinky), and all the co-judges, singers and musicians down the years! It really has been home!! That stage is pure love! Time to get back to making music, playing concerts and almost never putting on make-up! Jai ho!”

Vishal captioned the Reel by expressing his gratitude and bid goodbye to his friends. He thanked co-judges Shreya Ghoshal and Badshah, host Aditya Narayan, the entire production crew and all the singers and musicians of the show.

Vishal Dadlani's professional achievements

Born on 28th June, 1973, in Mumbai, Vishal Dadlani is a popular music composer from the successful composer duo Vishal-Shekhar. He started his journey by founding the indie band Pentagram in 1994. Then, he started composing music in Bollywood for films like Om Shanti Om, Anjaana Anjaani, Dostana, Bang Bang!, Sultan, and War. Besides being a composer, he is also a singer. He has given many chart-topping hits like Dhoom Again, Kurban Hua, Jee Le Zara, Marjaaniyan, and Swag Se Swagat. He won the Global Indian Music Award for Best Film Song - Ra.One (2012).

As composer duo, Vishal and Shekhar have given the industry several hits starting with the soundtracks of Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi (1999) and Kaante (2002) to Ghungroo (2019) and Besharam Rang (2022). In an interview with Hindustan Times, Shekhar shared that he and Vishal were childhood friends, and they composed their first song as a musical duo for the film, Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi. The duo have spent 25 years working together.

Vishal Dadlani separated from his wife, Priyali after 18 years of marriage

Vishal Dadlani tied the knot with Priyali Kapur in 1999. He was married to Priyali for 18 years. In 2017, the couple got separated and filed for divorce. Vishal said in an interview with Hindustan Times that the duo had lived separately for many years before getting divorced. He also mentioned that the reason behind their divorce was personal, and the duo wanted to keep it private.
