South superstar, Chiranjeevi turned 70 on August 22, 2025. A special mega glimpse from his next offering, Vishwambhara, was released by the makers recently. The socio fantasy film has been directed by Vassishta, who has shown Chiranjeevi as a larger-than-life character, whose story is being narrated to a little girl. The makers of the movie have ensured that Chiranjeevi's fans have a blast on his 70th birthday, as they gave a glimpse into his fantasy movie, Vishwambhara

The megastar has turned a year older, and the makers of Vishambhara have ensured that fans get a mega glimpse of the movie. The actor who is ageing like a fine wine is shown to be in an action-packed avatar, and the usage of visual effects has been taken to an extreme level. Chiranjeevi is surely exuding boss vibes in the glimpse of the movie, which was set to hit the theatres in 2025. However, now the movie is set to release in the summer of 2026. The makers of the movie took to X to pen:

"His mass and aura will takeover the universe. #MegaBlastGlimpse from #Vishwambhara out now. Happy Birthday MEGASTAR Chiranjeevi. Mega mass beyond the universe. #Vishwambhara in cinemas Summer 2026.”

What is shown in the glimpse of Vishwambhara?

The second half of the movie is reportedly high on VFX, and the movie is being delayed as the makers are taking a lot of time to perfect the same. The mega blast glimpse features a small girl asking someone to reveal the truth about what happened in Vishwambhara. The scene then shows a child standing on top of a scorpion. She is then told the story of a war that had started because of a greedy man who wanted to rule, and the situation became chaotic.

When people are tired of the man in power, a hero emerges to save the day. At a time when people have lost all hope, Chiranjeevi, the hero, comes to save them all. The curious child is then told about the megastar who kills enemies with ease. The glimpse of Vishwambhara showcases Chiranjeevi holding the disembodied eye that has its own life, which hints that maybe he pulled it out of something or someone.

Vishwambhara is a socio-fantasy thriller which has Chiranjeevi, Trisha Krishnan, Kunal Kapoor, and Ashika Ranganath in pivotal roles. The film has been directed by Vassishta, while UV Creations produced the same. The film was all set for a Sankranthi 2025 release after the production of the same began in 2023. Although the release of the film was delayed, the date was then given to Shankar Ram Charan's Game Changer.

Vishwambhara's director, Vassishta, wanted the movie to be different

When the makers of Vishwambhara released a teaser in October 2024, it was slammed for its poor visual effects and visuals. Things now seem to have gone well, as evidenced by the new glimpse of the movie. Director, Vasshshta spoke about the movie in an earlier interview with the Glute and shared:

"There are 14 lokalu (worlds), 7 on top and 7 on the bottom. Numerous filmmakers have already explored different worlds in the manner they want. I decided to go a step further. Vishwambhara takes place in the Satya lokam where Lord Brahma resides. We have already seen films where Yama lokam and Svarga lokam are explored. I wanted to do something different.”
