Vivek Oberoi is a versatile actor, who has been a part of Bollywood for decades now. He rules our hearts and the Indian film industry with his charisma. Being the son of actor, Suresh Oberoi, Vivek has been a part of the glitz and glamour of Bollywood since childhood. However, he chose to carve his own niche and strived to make a mark in the film industry. The actor, who recently completed 20 years in Bollywood, was last seen in Rohit Shetty’s web series, Indian Police Force, co-starring Sidharth Malhotra and Shilpa Shetty.
In a recent interview with Humans Of Bombay, Vivek Oberoi opened up about the darkest phase in his life and made a shocking revelation. The actor shared that he contemplated doing something that Sushant Singh Rajput did, and he cried like a baby. Talking about the same, he shared:
"It is a very dark place that you can get to in life. I have been there I have been at the edge of darkness. It’s not that I haven’t thought of things that Sushant did. It’s not that I haven’t cried, ‘Why is this happening to me?’ I sat on the floor, put my head on my mom’s lap like a baby, and cried." I said ‘Why is this happening to me?’"

Vivek Oberoi further revealed that everything in his personal and professional life went wrong all at once. However, his mother became his pillar of strength and reminded him that there was much more to life. Recalling the most valuable advice his mother gave her, Vivek said:
"She kept stroking my head and waited for me for maybe 30-40 minutes of my moping, complaining and crying. She asked me one thing: ‘Beta, when you are winning all the awards, getting all the glory, all the love and all the fame, did you ask Bhagwan Why Me?’ And that clicked."

On the personal front, Vivek Oberoi is married to his wife, Priyanka Alva Oberoi, and they are parents to two kids, Vivaan Veer and Ameya Nirvana. Earlier, in an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Vivek talked about his relationship with his wife, Priyanka and recalled their first meeting. He shared that when the latter asked him to tell her something about himself, he told her that he was an actor. But she was quick to respond that there was so much more to him, and she wanted to know all about it. Talking about the same, he said:
"When I first met Priyanka, I remember something that made me fall in love with this thought when she asked me ‘tell me about yourself’. I said ‘everything is out there online but let me start by saying I’m an actor’, she said one thing to me ‘that’s what you just do, not who you are, I want to know who you are’ and that’s when I realised there is so much more to me.”
Aishwarya Rai and Salman Khan were once in a strong relationship after they worked together in the film, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999). But soon their relationship hit rock bottom as Salman allegedly cheated on Aishwarya. After breaking up with Salman, Aishwarya started seeing her Kyun! Ho Gaya Na, co-actor, Vivek Oberoi. Multiple reports claimed that Vivek once revealed that Salman had threatened to kill him after drunkenly calling him 41 times. After that, many blamed Salman for ruining Vivek's career in Bollywood.

Salman Khan's infamous rivalry with Vivek Oberoi is still fresh in everyone's mind. For the unversed, after his break up with Aishwarya Rai, Salman was so furious at Vivek that he lost his calm on the latter. During one of the press conferences, Vivek claimed that Salman had called him more than 40 times and threatened him for being in a relationship with his ex-girlfriend, Aishwarya. However, Aishwarya maintained her dignified silence and kept away from the entire controversy.
