The influencer market is currently at its peak not just in a few countries but across the world. Every country has a series of social media influencers, who are living a super-luxurious life. As per the National Bureau of Statistics of China, the total market size for influencers in the country will reach the mark of 1,035 billion USD by the year 2025. Some of the biggest influencers who are ruling the influencer market in China are Zhang Dayi, Cathrynli, Lim Shang Jin, Feng Yi, Hu Bing, Zhou Mi, Tiffany Tang, Charlene Liu, Liu Wen, Gloria Tang, Lucia Liu, and many more.

As per a report in China Daily, Wang Quan Hong Xing had 4.4 million followers on Douyin, which is China's version of TikTok. The youngster became immensely popular in China due to his extravagant purchases and luxury lifestyle. Time and again, he had bragged about owning seven high-end properties in his videos that garnered him so many views.
The famous Chinese influencer, Wang Quan Hong Xing's popularity took a massive jump when in one of his videos, he shared a confession related to his lifestyle. The influencer revealed that he only goes out of his home after wearing outfits and jewellery worth 1.4 million USD or above. The startling revelation created a stir on major social media platforms, Douyin, Xiaohongshu, and Sina Weibo microblog.

As time passed, Wang Quan Hong Xing's lifestyle started to lure more and more young people to try their luck in influencer marketing. Getting influence from the flashy life of an influencer is not something we have seen for the first time. As per multiple reports, the way Wang Quan Hong Xing was presenting his life and all the expensive purchases on social media started getting out of hand. For the unversed, back in 2016, China launched a 'clean up' campaign in order to keep a check on the kind of content influencers were making as the country's youth was getting heavily influenced by them.
In 2022, the Chinese government added a 'code of conduct' for live streams and strictly told influencers not to display super-expensive luxury products, jewellery, swanky assets, or cash. As per a report in the Financial Express, the Cyberspace Administration in China was targeting social media influencers, who were flaunting an ultra-luxurious lifestyle in their videos, photos, and live streams, which was distracting the youngsters.

According to a report in China Daily, Wang Quan Hong Xing was once criticised for showcasing his right-figure outfit on social media, as it received a lot of comments from youngsters and teenagers. Not only this, the Chinese influencer received a lot of backlash when he claimed that he owns seven luxury homes in the Beijing community. Apart from this, Wang Quan Hong Xing also confessed that he owns a 991-square-meter mansion. All these claims paved the way for his ban from social media, as he violated the content rules set up by the Chinese government for influencers. The banning of Wang Quan Hong Xing from social media has once again ignited the debate over regulating content creation on social media across the world.
