'War 2' OTT Release: Where And When To Stream Hrithik Roshan And Jr NTR's Action Thriller Film

One of the most anticipated films of the year, War 2 has hit the floors on August 14, 2025, and has already evoked a frenzy among the fans with its power-packed story. Positive reviews for the film are pouring in, and the audience cannot stop lauding the two superstars, Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR, in their respective roles. Directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced under the Yash Raj Films banner, here's when you can stream War 2 and on which OTT platform. 

War 2's likely OTT release date and platform

Though no official announcement has been made yet, War 2's post-credit scene has dropped a few hints about its OTT release as per a Filmibeat report. The film starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR is likely going to make its digital release on Netflix, as seen in the reveal. Like most Bollywood film, War 2 will be released only after its theatrical run is finished. Most films make their digital debut eight weeks after releasing in theatres. Hence, fans who are eagerly waiting to watch the movie on small screens will likely be able to stream it around early October. 

However, this tentative date can change as well. If War 2 does exceptionally well in the cinemas, then the makers might want to extend its theatre run to maximise the profits. As of now, War 2 has been garnering good reviews and seems to be on its way to becoming a commercial hit. Hence, the OTT release date also depends on the box office records of War 2.

Hrithik Roshan is back as 'Major Kabir' for the sequel to War. However, once a decorated officer, he has turned into a villain in the story. 'Kabir' is chased by Special Units Officer, 'Vikram', played by Jr NTR. Kiara Advani plays the role of 'Kavya Luthra', a mysterious character whose intentions are hard to decipher. 'Kavya' and 'Kabir' are also entangled in a romance, which adds more thrill to the story. Apart from these three stars, War 2 also stars Anil Kapoor and Ashutosh Rana in significant roles.

Producer Aditya Chopra, with his YRF productions, has helmed the ambitious project of building a Spy Universe. Starting with Salman Khan's Tiger franchise, Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan, and Hrithik Roshan's War films are also part of it. Previous YRF spy films featured minor cameos of other 'spy' stars, however, as per reports, War 2's story plays a crucial role in linking all the previous and upcoming movies of this thrilling universe. YRF's next spy venture, Alpha, which is going to star Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh as leads, has also been shown to be linked to the story of War 2.
